Same ride just taller

GO IRISH!!

Before this gets closed, I just wanted to say that I like this topic, as long as its not a "Disney vs cedar fair" or "six flags" topic.

as for the rides, I like them both, they offer unique thrills, except little kids can ride waveswinger : )

Little kids can't ride Wave Swinger, it has a 48" height requirement. They do have the Lolli Swing in camp snoopy though.

Lolli Swing happens to be my daughter's favorite ride 2 years running. :)

I think it's a pretty pathetic outlook on a brand new ride when the question is actually raised over whether or not it is a better ride than it's 100 year-old "cousin".

I just realized that Cedar point has another set of 3 rides that have the same consecpt. I think this is a good with the fact that Cedar Point is trying to claim that it has somthing for everyone.

Wave Swinger made me somewhat disoriented last time I rode it (pathetic, I know). WindSeeker looks to move a little slower than Wave Swinger. Can anyone comment on the motion sickness differences between the two? I'd like to ride WindSeeker if it doesn't make me want to leave the park immediately after.

1979 vs. 2011. If Wave Swinger were a tree, would it have grown into a Windseeker after 32 years? ;)

If Wave Swinger were a tree, DK would have had it cut down long before now. ;-)

Or maybe thrown a few Christmas lights on it and called it an attraction...

Firefox15, I actually know exactly what you mean. I felt that way on wave swinger too, although it may have been because I rode it later in the day after all the coasters and other thrill rides so it may have had a cumulative effect...but Windseeker definitely doesn't give you that feeling...there is less free movement, it goes faster and the sheer height, view and music make it more of an experience than just a round-and-round ride.

Windsleeper was boring to me. It just did not do much to me. Wave swinger Imo, is a better ride.

The funny thing is, my daughter is not tall enough to ride windsleeper, but is tall enough to ride the sky screamer(six flags st louis) that is faster and much more thrilling.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

How intense is WindSeeker

Depends if you have a fear of heights. If not, the intensity level is very low.

I rode both on Saturday. Wave Swinger is faster and the tilt makes it interesting. Windseeker provides great views of the park and the wind coming off the lake is right in your face. I think both rides are enjoyable and neither is intense. Quick spinning can cause problems for some on Wave Swinger and height can cause issues for others on Windseeker.

We rode Windseeker as our last ride Saturday night. Just before 10. The park looks amazing all lit up, and such a contrast to the complete darkness over the lake- almost like flying in an open top airplane.

Lolliswings for sure! No.. JK... I don't know Windseeker is just a taller version of Wave Swinger.
