It was really windy last night. I was pretty surprised Dragster was running.

^It seems that way. It really calmed down last night for the last 3-4 hours of the day but not even a test run. I was told by multiple people (guests and employees) that it hasn't ran since early afternoon Wednesday. Also, I was very disappointed that as it grew darker, the only lights on it were the ones at the top. It was bad enough I haven't been able to ride it in 3 trips this season but they couldn't even turn the lights on.

Well, I'm not sure if this is accurate or not. But, from a quote on this page, you can see that the Starflyers will run in wind speeds up to 44mph. However, as you can see on this page, the capacity would have been a lot less. The ride only holds 24 riders. The capacity is made up a bit with a shorter ride cycle. So, when it's actually running, you'd have a longer wait for a shorter ride (though I suppose the ride cycle wouldn't be set in stone). What I'm confused about is it says a maximum of 96 meters. I thought they had one a lot taller than that.

Glad to hear, Adam. Bums me out I missed it again. There was no ride op at WS until around 9:00pm but when I asked he told me it can't operate in 25 mph gust or higher. I understand about talking with ops about things, I've been around here enough to expect some comments on this, but shouldn't they know things like that? If this is the case and the starflyers can operate in 44 mph wind gusts (per Jason a couple of posts up) then how can they say they went with Mondial for the reliability issue. 96 meters (also per Jason in same post) is roughly 315 ft so it could have at least matched WS in height but possibly surpassed it in reliability and perhaps thrill, with the chains and all.

The thing is, I don't think the park ever said anything about going with Mondial because of reliability. We don't even know for sure if the Funtime was ever considered. I believe every thing was conjecture on our part.

I guess you're right, the 'park' never did. However, according to Mondial's website, they "designed Windseeker for a client seeking a starflyer-type ride that can operate during normal wind conditions". Normal wind conditions seems to me would be relative to the client. And I'm quite sure CF officials making these decisions should know what normal wind conditions are for their parks, especially the conditions CP experiences.
