Wind Speed Limits

Looking for the wind speed limits for certain rides.

Namely the Sky Ride (cable cars). I noticed the cars usually close down around noon the last several times I have been up. They claimed it was the wind, however there was no wind to speak of.

I did notice the wind meter on the middle tower however. Any input?

I noticed that too. They open them up, and about 2hrs. later there down. I have been on them before and it was really windy.

Frequently the Sky Ride will close due to wind when there is little or no wind on the midway. Look up at the anemometer on the high tower, though, and you'll see it spinning like crazy. The midway is quite sheltered from wind. The Sky Ride cable, on the other hand, is not.

Last time I rode Sky Ride, there was enough wind that it was more than a little unsettling...

I may be mistaken but I think Sky Ride closes if the wind reaches over 20 mph.
