Wind Effects...

Over here in Vermilion the wind is so strong I can barely stand up outside... (even knocked a tree over in my back yard...) Just wondering if there is any way TTD or any rides really are still open and running today. I figure there is no way, but wouldn't hurt to check.

Most roller coasters, including TTD, have been closed because of the extreme winds for today.

That's Ridiculous™

I was there today. MF, Raptor, Magnum, Mean Streek, and Gemini were all closed down all day. Dragster had a 3.5-4 hr wait, so I skipped it, and it shut down about 6pm. Mantis was about an hr wait, WT was about 30 mins. They were both up for most of the day (and I had the best two rides on Mantis that I have ever had) :) . I had walk-ons on Blue Streak, Corkscrew, and Iron Dragon. Not the best day, but not bad either.

I caught it rolling back at least three times today, when it did actually make it over it wasn't making it by much. I was there from opeing until about 1:15 and only caught it luanching like 10 times! Only about 4 of those actually had guests in them. Kind of sucked not getting to ride it on my first visit to the park this year. On the other hand, Mantis was kicking ass and WT barely had any line.

When I was there, it was running pretty consistently. Their biggest problem was the weather.

Wow, three times... I'm surpised they kept lanuching it in that wind. I wonder how much more power they can put into the lanuch to make up for those powerful gusts.
