Will you make a point to go on Ocean Motion one more time before the end of the season?

I hope I can. I plan on going after the Fall Freak Out at Kings Island in October.

If I make it to the park this fall, I will for sure. Plans are still up in the air.

I doubt it.

No. There is one better at Kings Island. Heck, the Allen County Fair had a swinging ship this year. Not a big deal to me.

I was hoping to ride this past Monday but never made it over there. I will be sure to get a ride in on Closing Weekend.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Already did, a couple weekends ago.

No.

I don't even think I will notice it being gone.

I'll most likely ride the danger boat one last time. After all, it's not like you have to wait for the thing.

But you're right... in terms of swinging ships, I can't really think of a worse one.

We should ERT it during our VIP tour. :)

Yeah I'll ride it. What other ride in the park can you ride that shows nice pretty woman at the end of the boat. :) What I don't get is why is Ocean Motion higher priced than the classic big dipper that's for sale?

I will ride it one more time, and I will miss it when It's gone. But I will not miss it as much as I do swabinchin(sp).

Ever since the idea of removing it came up, I've tried to ride it at least once on every trip I've made. I took a ton of pictures of the ride area as well, but that's just me. :)

djDaemon's avatar

Yeah, I'll be sure and get a bunch of pics of that area on our next trip, but I don't feel the need to ride something so "standard", personally.

I'll give it a ride the next time out, if I remember. I have to say, when I was there last weekend, Ocean Motion didn't even cross my mind.

I will ride it when I go back in Oct. :)

I rode it on Labor Day. The ride cycle seemed to last longer than usual. I'll miss it from the standpoint that it's a nice intermediate ride for kids to conquer as they start moving from kiddie rides to adult rides, but having grown up with Viking Fury, it doesn't do much for me personally.

"Tastes great!"

"Less filling!"

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

^I hear that.. I remember riding Viking Fury with my parents growing up and always insisting we ride at least once more immediately after. Good times :)

My favorite ride of all time of this type was one they had at Magic Mountain many many years ago. It was a space shuttle that went all the way around and over. The last swing before it went all the way over, it would stall for a second or two at the top. Was a great ride. Not sure if it's even still there. That was back in my USMC days, close to 20 years ago.

There are still a bunch of those around. A few that come to mind are at kings dominion, canadas wonderland, busch gardens tampa, and I was on one at a six flags park.

The one for Canadas wonderland is for sale now.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I don't usually ride OM but my son loves it, so I will make sure to ride it this HW with him before it is gone. I missed my last ride on DD and will not make that mistake again.
