Just wondering, SInce the red train only has 2 cars on, is it possible to have the rest on and have it tested enough in time for saturday?

Someone better explain what's going on here...or...there will be a lot of explaining to do!

Opening Day is not the day to expect full capacity.

Being your only trip, I also hope the weather will cooperate.

I thought the red train derailed and flew into Lake Erie? Did they get it out?

But then again, what do I know?

NO, NO, NO!!! You're all wrong! While that train was loaded with the water dummies, something went horribly wrong with its restraint system and they all flew out and were propelled at the screen for the Summer Spectacular. The screen acted like a trampoline and some of the dummies landed on TTDs track (which is why it's having a hard time making it over the hill). Employees then completely disassembled the train and are putting it back together now to try to figure out what went wrong.

Translation: they still have plenty of time to get it back together for Saturday. I think Cedar Fair parks have the best ride uptimes in the industry (excluding TTD last year). Also, even if they don't get the red train done in time for opening day, it'll get done eventually and the ride will be fine with two trains, especially with the longer intervals between dispatches they've been running. Am I right in this or am I imagining this? I seem to remember my first time to CP, in 2001, a consistency with the train flying over that hump right before the end, and the next train being half way up the hill already.

You didn't see a train half way up the lift when the train ahead of it is only at the station speed hill. The catch car wouldn't even be positioned back in the station in time for that to happen. Not possible. Not to mention the lift would have to stop to allow for the waiting area brakes to clear before it would drop the train off the lift.

I wouldn't worry too much about the red train until another train breaks down. I doubt that we'll happen though.

It should be running hopefully this year. And the blocks is the same issue with TTD. Sometimes the train in the braking run wouldn't clear quick enough causing all the block to be rest. After a rollback, did you ever hear them calling off the checks for the blocks????

When I was there opening weekend (Sunday) MF ran two trains and the line moved rather well. The crew was moving very quick and the line was moving no different even while running two trains instead of three. Otherwise, don't worry about.

If I understand what you are asking then the red train or anyother train sometimes doesn't run first thing in the morning. It may start later in the day when the line gets longer. Last time I was there the yellow train wasn't on the track right away till 11ish.

Jeff...

A new green train? CP will run 4 trains on MF? Is that possible...with the amount of braking runs they have?

Yep. Plenty of room. The green train looks a lot like the emerald train on Dragster.
