Will the go carts last?

I see the go carts as a real waste of space, I barely ever saw anyone inline for the ride, the track has been changed around 3 times in the last 3 years.

With Dorney removing their carts for water park improvements do you think that Cedar Point will follow, Soak City hasn't had any additions in a while.

I drive 2 and a half hours to get to the point... many are going 80 ~ 85 in Michigan, and 75 ~ 80 in Ohio, unless you're in the left hand lane, then you're doing 5 under. People swerve left and right, and cross 4 lanes to get to their exit in the last 500 feet of interstate beforehand... I'm not ready to pay to jump into a go-cart and drive around a track, only to have people bump eachother and spin out all over the place. "The light is now red" is said way too many times. Too bad there's no points assessed for bad driving!

So if they did go, I personally wouldn't miss them. But I only see them going if Cedar Point believes that they aren't economically feasible anymore, and a different ride or expansion of Soak City would be more beneficial to the amount of revenue made.

DISCMAIMER! - Just because I wouldn't miss them doesn't mean they're a bad edition to the park. I just personally don't care for them, and others like driving/riding in them. Cedar Point's designed to be a fun place, utilizing multiple forms of entertainment...... there, flame retardant is in place. ;)

17 straight years of real thrills and counting...

It would be nice to see some new additions to soak city....some nice improvements would be really nice, like on some slides they hurt your back badly...i had a sore back for 3 days after that. I agree, the only reason the Go-Karts should be there is for the kids...but since kids are not allowed on the big track there is really no point because the adults that come, most of them drive to CP...and like TekGuy said there is pretty much no point when you could drive a real car.

Maybe for 2004 we'll some aditions to Soak City. Cedar Point is already the best Park in the world, Why not have the Best Water park in the world?...although a good water park takes up space, and i dont like to see CP just waisting away its space...because Sooner or later it WILL run out of room, Maybe not even in the next decade....but that time will come.

I have never driven the go-carts and don't plan to anytime soon. I wouldn't really miss 'em if they were removed.

But I do know some people who love the Go-Carts. My friend dragged me on one even though I was scared to death (love coasters hate gocarts). I think it give the park a more diverse collection of rides. Sure, it would be easy to take out but why? The kids who don't drive love them.

We always race in Challenge Park! There is no better place to be competitive AND have a blast! It's great to see the kid's smiles when they win 'cause I had a bad car...

I think "most" people go to Cedar Point to get thrills. I think that Go-Karts are fun (when I am not at CP). I think people would rather wait in line for MF instead of pay to ride G-Karts. I do however think that they dont take up much room so that space really couldn't be used for anything else
I love the GO carts also....When you got a good cart those adult ones fly :)

You see them not in use one time and that makes it a trend?

If you take the go-carts away, arn't you killing a huge part to Challenge Park? I see a rather large amount of people in line for the carts after 10pm. I think it would be a major disappointment to get rid of the carts.

The best thing about Six Flags "Worlds of Adventure" is that Cedar Point is nearby!

Personally, I believe CP could benefit more by getting rid of them for either more Challenge Park attractions or more Soak City attractions. I rode the go-carts at CP once and was very dissappointed with them. They were very slow. The best go-carts in the world can be found underneath the Great White rollercoaster at Morey's Piers in Wildwood, NJ. The feeling of wooden planks beneath the carts is awsome!, not to mention the speed!

Hello? You do realize those tracks are only a couple of years old, right? You do realize that there are people riding them every night during the busy resort times?
