Will Famous Dave's be open on opening day?

The title says it. My family likes to eat there when we go to CP. I probably would know if I were older but I think I am one of the youngest here. Please, if you know post.

This has been discussed before and yes it will be open. Also make sure you take a loan out before you go there.

What makes it different from any other place on Point? You get what you pay for and a big part of that is convienience (sp).

I really enjoyed Famous Dave's and will visit again in a couple of weeks.

I think Famous Dave's is a great place. I don't see the prices as being unusually expensive, it's in line with most other casual dining restaurants I've been to.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

No its pretty expensive compared to other Famous Daves. The one in North Olmsted is about half the price of the one at Cedar Point.

Do you have a "Faymous Danes" in North Olmstead. Just looking over the menu for CP's Famous Daves, the prices seem no different than any of the others I have gone to. Might they be a dollar or two more? Maybe. Are they double what a non-point Dave's would be? No. If so, I want to go to one of these others and get the XXL rack for 10 bucks, because that would be awesome.

Goodbye MrScott

John

Its a great place but when my dad spent 12 dollars for 2 cokes and a beer, then you know its expensive.

I went there during Halloweekends last year with my family. I thought it was excellent. What we did was we ordered a big platter and just split it. The platter had like ribs, brisket, potatos, corn cobs and much more. I believe the platter was like 50 bucks and it was plenty of food to feed the four of us. And 50 bucks is usually the amount it costs all of us to eat anywhere else also so i didn't think it was that expensive.

CPfan200, you don't know what you are talking about. Look at the menu for Famous Dave's on the CP website and compare that to items on the menu at Famous Dave's corporate site and you will see the entree prices are only about 1 to 3 dollars or so more at CP, and the side dishes are about 20 cents more. That's to be expected, and it doesn't make Famous Dave's expensive.

Thanks. My family gets the platter too. Also we eat at FD because it gives my parents a break. I don't allways want to go but I go anyway.

Maybe that's because you're the only person paying $4 for a 20oz. pop?

The beer is pretty expensive at the Famous Daves at CP. I think I paid 5 bucks for one beer, but it was a tall glass. But the alcohol is expensive anywhere at CP. I've only been twice but I liked going there. I love those drunkin apples! From my experiences, FD is about the same as any other sit down place at CP. You are gonna pay a little more because it is CP.

Walt we drove into the marina with our boat and we decided to run in and get a drink. I have never bought a pop inside of Cedar Point before in my life, I always get free water.

The beer around CP is expensive, and that's to be expected. I mean, there was one time where Pete ran out of cash and borrowed $20 from me and didn't pay it back for a year.

"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."

...but next May for today's beer. :)

if you pay for parking when you get to cedar point, take the time to read the back of the little ticket they give you...in years past, if you took your parking ticket into famous daves (or the boathouse before that) then they would give you a discount equal to what you paid for parking if you spend $20 or more. So, spend $20 on a meal, then give them the ticket and get $9 off your bill. We usually get 2 burgers, 2 soft drinks, and sometimes an appetizer, and with the discount the bill only comes to around $11-12...pretty cheap actually.

...and beer is so much healthier than a burger. No fat vs. high fat. I owe Jeff thanks for helping to keep my heart healthy.
