Wildcat on the park map...

The other day, I was looking at my maps of Cedar Point on my wall, and they got me wondering...

Why is it that the Wildcat is shown as a red coaster? If I'm not mistaken, I believe that it's white, so why is it drawn as red?

That just kinda struck me as odd...

Anyone know?

Wildcat has green track with white supports.

Magnum is shown as red on the map. Then again, Magnum does look a little red from a distance.

Wasn't the original Wildcat red?
I was looking at past pictures of the Wildcat where it originally stood and the original track color was red and black not white and green, then again on the small park maps they've only got so much room, on the souveniere maps they've got more room for detail though I can't see why they would use a different color than it actually is.

I stay crunchy...even in milk!
Funguy is correct: the original Wildcat (you know, way back when Wildcat was where Oceana is now) did have red paint on it...

White would also be somewhat difficult on the map since the Wildcat is such a small coaster - Power Tower is no problem since it's so big, but you do want the rides (especially the coasters) to be somewhat visible!

I have a question. Is there a place where I could get roller coaster posters on the internet or anywhere alse like a store? I would like some that are from Cedarpoint. Or anywhere really... anybody know?
CedarPoint.com has online postcards.

Thanks coast. I mean like posters to put on my wall. Is that what you mean? Cause that is what I mean.
Maybe it's so you don't get raptor and wild cat confused..

And your POINT is...
I don't think that will be a problem.
Of course not, Raptor is right across from Iron Dragon.

ShiveringTim, didn't the head lights work back then.
