How does the chaindog on the Wildcat cars lock onto the chain for the ride? The chain is very diffrent from those found on other roller coasters, I've never come across one like this before. I was completlely perplexed by this and I was hoping that someone can help me out with this.

I'm pretty sure the chain dog catches the outer edges of any link positioned parallel to the chain guide. It doesn't grab through the center of the link, but around the top of it. I hope that makes sense... :)

The chain dog looks like this | | The vertical link is housed inside of it, and then the next link which is horizontal catches the chain dog and pulls up the car.

I was thinking, a Wildcat chain break would not be that big of a deal. Just run down to Home Depot get about a hundred foot log chain and replace it.
