I dont recall cp ever having a wild mouse coaster, but on a americana(closed park) web site it says that cp bought the wild mouse from them in the mid 60's.
Here is the link

Did cp ever put this ride up? If so, where was it?
It also mentions on rcdb
that there was a "wild mouse coaster in 1959...so this couldent be the same coaster.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Wildcat is a Schwarzkopf Wildcat not a Wild Mouse. There's a big difference.

It Doesn't say they bought the coaster in the 60's. It just says it was removed circa 1964. It could have been put into storage.
Since Cedar Fair wasn't formed until 1983, I doubt that it was taken to any of the other current Cedar Fair parks.
Although it wasn't called Wild Mouse, Cedar Point had a wild mouse style coaster called Scamper from 1962 until about 1975. I don't think this is the same mouse, but Cedar Point may have bought the Americana version to use as spare parts for Scamper.

Sure would be nice to get a Reverchon spinning mouse. :)

Yes they had a Wild Mouse, a Schiff as I recall (Rideman do you concur?). There is a pic of it in the Francis' book.
A Reverchon Spinning Mouse would be ideal across from Magnum underneath TTD's tower. Maybe move the caricature and fake tattoo booth...
Cedar Point did have a steel Wild Mouse in the early 60's, in addition to Scamper. I'm not sure if it is the one from Americana, since I think it was there before 1964.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Of all the things we did at WDW last year, their Reverchons were my son's #1 request for a repeat ride on our last day. When you unbalance the car on that model (particularly with the heavy side away from load) you can really get it spinning!
The "Wildmouse" in the picture is a Schwartzcopf Wildcat. I've set up 3 of them and recognize the structure. Steel tubular with round cross braces. The Scamper at CP was a Schiff and was all wood - steel flat track. It was torn down in early 70 to make way for Tiki Twirl. The original Wildcat at CP was located near "Oceana" and was eventually sent to VF. It was purchased new in 70 from Schwartzkopf (Mickey Hughes)
Cool. Thank's for the info Jim. :)
