Wicked Twister running FULL POWER

I was there on Sunday the 22, and Wicked Twister was really making it up to the top! I haven't had such a good ride since opening day last year!

Hey there...I was there on Sunday as well and boy did Wicked Twister deliver. Definitely in agreement about the rides....This has to be Cedar Point's most underrated ride, IMO.

its runnin glike it did opening day last year? making it upto the top on the back spike both times?

no it just gets really high on the back spike the second time, the first time it gets to a little higher than the catwalk thingy, but the second time it reaches really high on the back spike, it scared the crap out of me in the back seat....the only place to ride

In other words, it's doing exactly the same thing it has been doing since the latter part of last season.

Thanks Jeff, i was thinking the same thing. Its still a little dissapointing that it cant run like it did opening day last year.

I don't think it is a little disappointing, I think it is downright annoying. They should have stuck with the standard model.

totally agree with you Raptorforce......hope this doesnt turn into a trend at CP, first WT now TTD, we can only hope this trend stops quickly.

I also agree, thsi roller coaster is definitly under rated, everybody I take on it that doesn't want to get on it because htey don't think it would be fun get on and always want to go immediately for a second ride. There is still a loud roar when people return to the station.

When I went last year, they had had it closed for 3 days and closed it for the duration of the time I was there, maybe that was the maintainence that made it go better, however on the 17th I got to go and WOW! It wasn't like any other roller coaster!

I was at CP on Wednesday and Thursday (all the way from Charlotte NC) and got to ride WT both days, albeit Thursday it was down for a couple of hours due to a power outage that affected the entire front part of the park, followed by some thunderstorms. Anyways, I thought WT was incredible! However, what did the ride do (performance wise) on opening day last year that it is not apparently doing now? Again, my ride(s) were awesome and cannot really imagine them being any better.

laast season , the ride was awsome, as you went up the back spike the train almost went to the top of the spike BOTH TIMES, instead of just once as it does today...

Funny I rode it about a month ago and it did not seem to be running at full power the train did not come close to ringing the bells

I rode it for the first time on my trip June 29-July 2 and the ride definetly did not seem to be running at full power. Only on the back spike did it go really high, from what I could tell.

Weird ride though, definetly not a re-ride over and over type...

Not a reride type?, I dont know...But i got on it 20+ times this season. That ride packs one big punch. WT is really intense as well. I dont care if its not the same as it was or wahtever...The ride is amazing. Period. Hanging face first almost 200 feet above the ground is incredible.

It sure feels faster than last year. Either way I still think that it's also very underrated. In most parks that would be one of - if not THE signature rollercoaster(s).

I still remember after one of the nightly breakdowns last year when riding in the front seat we were no more than 5 feet from the top. While it's still a great ride, until I find myself feeling those brakes on top of the spikes are necessary, it won't be the same.
