I had the choice to visit Six Flags in Cleveland last summer with my family. I declined for the plain and simple reason that it wasn't Cedar Point. There is no way that I will ever go to an amusement park and find a greater ride selection than Cedar Point. I am anti-Six Flags as well and always will be. I love ya Cedar Point.
You are so lame. You don't go to another park simply because it's not "the best". You obviously aren't a die-hard coaster fan. A real enthusiest would go for one reason and one reason only: there are rollercoasters there.
Anyways, it seems like V2 here at SFMW will indeed trade the straight spike for the twisted one. The back brake only worked for all of about three weeks before it started to have serious problems. Go here: http://www.sfmwonline.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=261&postdays=0&postorder=&start=45 for a topic on the subject at sfmwonline (this is page four of the thread). I understand that this could make many of you very angry (I don't blame you) but it's not like CP has a patent on it.
...And don't forget, like SuperCoasterDave said, Wicked Twister is still the taller AND the fastest.

I don't think CP should have even made a big deal about the double twist, I don't think it's that big of a deal to the GP.

I grew up at CP (at least one visit a year since I was 6) and it always holds a special place in my heart...but in the early 90s when SFGAM built Iron Wolf and B:TR, it was Cedar Who? Cedar What?
If I lived closer to SFMM than CP, I don't even think I'd remember how to spell Cedar right now.
I don't understand pledging loyalty to a single park. I love just about all of them for different reasons. I love VF because it's right around the corner, MA for the rustic, homespun feel, CP because...well, it's CP, SFGAM for their Schwarzkopf and its low height requirement(!), PKI for being the most well-rounded park IMO and so on and so forth.
Can't they all just get along?

They better not be adding a twist. Stealing ideas from WT is not cool!
Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha ! ! I couldn't stop laughing....
Then you have these fringe member "Lunatics" who feel that anything good that happens elsewhere is bad for their homepark. This is the third such outcry that I've heard in the last 12-13 months.
First CP was best because it had the most coasters. When SFMM announced they would soon have 15, loyalists flipped the script and said "Quality over Quanity" (Which *they* dont even belive otherwise they'd be BGW fans...)
Second it was claimed that S:TE @ SFMM wasnt really a coaster and shouldnt count. Merits of the argument aside, it seemed a cheap attempt to hold on to a record. As if CP suddenly sucked because they lost one record (as if!). On and for the record, I never saw Robin Innes say S:TE was NOT a coaster. Merely that it takes a "liberal interpretation" of what a coaster is.
Now we have this ish. HOW DARE YOU accuse Six Flags of "stealing"! What freaking high horse are you on? Did adding another twist *really* distinguish WT over S:UE and V2squared? Come on, admitt it you are being petty and lame. And on top of that, you are *still* trying to hold on to a record (the taller, faster thing) that very few people care about.
At this point, I think it's time to institute the "Putzian Plan":
Turn off the computer.
Go outside.
Purchase an ice cream cone.
Enjoy.
Repeat if necessary!
Basically, take it easy :)

If V2 is the first double-twisting impluse, I really don't have a problem with that. I mean, when I head out west this year I would be able to ride a "double-twistin" impluse, if they are changing it to that.
What I don't understand is way some of you aren't happy to see such a perhaps great ride element be brought to other parks. This past summer I got addicted to Power Tower(rode it 75 times), and needless to say when I entered a park without such a ride I was *alittle* disappointed. When I visited a park with one, whether it was a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park or whether it was the tallest or fastest, I enjoyed it. The same, most likely will hold true for WT/V2. Look at it this way, you have more chances of riding a doul-twisting impluse! Like Rob said, by perhaps adding a another twisted spike, that doesn't change Wicked Twister.
Also, how many people in the Midwest actually heard of SFMW. Yes some know about SFMM/CP thing because its been in the paper, but to 95% of the park guests, they would think Wicked Twister is the first. Heck, I didn't no much about V2(and its updates) until I read this post.
