Wicked Twister: Front or Back?

KYJoe's avatar

The back is more fun/thrilling, but you get a little bit more of a ride in the front.

Being sucked up the tower at 72 mph backwards is an amazing feeling. Plus, the view is just incredible!

The very back seat is the best seat by far!

You can easily ride it twice in an hour. That ride always has short lines so it shouldn't be a problem to decide for yourself which is better. =)

If the crowds (or lack of) allow it I would recommend doing a marathon in the back. After a good 12-15 times take a ride in the front. Your mind/body get so used to where the forces hit you that when you move to the front it really is a completely different ride.

I prefer the back. Going to the top of the spike is just amazing. Just don't ride Wicked Twister right after TTD. TTD's launch makes WT's feel weak.

I got 2 rides on it this past weekend, and to sum it up in a nice way, i didn't get any feeling of freefall or airtime at all. I sat in the very front and the very back. I would invest my time riding a different ride.

ride on ride warriors, ride on

The back is better because of the speed going up the tower and the twisting and the feeling that eventually your going to fall of the tower...

basically because of the feeling of oh crap i'm about to run outta track.

yeah id have to say back. but they both have their advantages. its pretty cool to sit in the front with a clear view and nothing in front of you.

i guess im the only one, but i like the front cause you can look strait up into the sky, and then when it goes backwards u can look strait down.its pretty cool, at least for me.

Coaster Lover Forever

I have only ridden the very front and middle so i prefer the front.

Speaking of wicked twister and the front when i rode in the front I noticed that our train did something weird It almost touched the bumper! It was like 6 inches away from touching it. When I have seen it run it barely gets within 5 feet of the bumper but with us it almost hit it.

So I was wondering has it ever hit the bumper or has anyone ever been in front where it almost has?

Disaster Transport 2012

On my most recent trip, I was given advice from the ride host. The BACK!!! Row 15 is the best, you go almost as high as the last row, but you have a clear look down the tower at the ground. Row 16 is connected to 15, so row 15 blocks the view of the last row.

Just what I was gonna say. The next to last seat offers the best view. The right seat in that row is the one to take- on the back spike the seat in front of you moves out of the way so you are looking straight at the ground with nothing below you. I always put first time riders in that seat.

^ But you have to be sitting on the right side to get the full effect. I learned about that seat from a good friend of mine on a Halloweekend night last year.

The very front seat is also something neat to do. Seeing the end of track flying towards you, thinking your gonna fly of the track is a cool feeling.

But I do prefer Row 15 right side over all.

Back row, right seat.

I personally feel alot of airtime on the second blast just as you come up the curve of the second spike and the twists are, for a lack of a better word, WICKED :).
