Wicked Twister added to banner on cedarpoint.com

Wonder when Cedar Point will add Wicked Twister to the banner on the top of cedarpoint.com....

Man, u got me thinking it actually got changed.

I was thinking the same thing. The webmaster will probably go over to battery park on a nice day sometime soon, and take that picture again.

I think the banner looks more like the angle you see CP from at Shore line park. It's on the west side of the wave pool park from Battery park.

My guess is that the reason they didn't add it is because they haven't taken a picture of it yet from Battery Park. The picture up there right now was taken and imported into a photo program to give it a cartoon look(if you remember when Cedar Point.Com first relaunched, it was just a regular picture).

Flisk, I am going to have disagree, I don't think it was taken at Shoreline Park... I was at Battery Park last week, and took a picture that turned out to be nearly the same as the on Cedar Point.Com

It was definately taken by camera. Like Andrew says, if you go down to Battery Park and look, it is the exact same look. He's also right because as he said, when CP launched the new look to the site it was just a picture. It was after a while when they animated the banner.

It's still the same picture they took, they've just "colorized" it. Some of the things in teh banner are still the picture if you look closely.

If you use the webarchive thingy that it fun to look back on, you'll notice that the original banner up there was an actual picture, but some of the rides were hard to see. They added color to many of rides so that they stand out...it also allows them to add light affects at night.

The Thomas Edison bridge is too far away and it's the wrong angle. It's definitly up close like battery park.

There is actually a sandbar that we always go to with our boat, on the end of the Marblehead Pennsulia, which is where the picture was taken form. Cause battery park would be a more looking twords MS, but you are looking right at MF, and Mantis & PT. so if you go out on the end of the Marblehead pennsulia, and walk out, pass baypoint, you'll see the exact same picture! I'll have to take one sometime this summer.

I doubt that very much. If it were anywhere other than Battery Park, the third hill of MF wouldn't center perfectly under the first hill, and Raptor wouldn't be in close proximity sight line wise to Space Spiral.

OK, you can see the Jet-Ski in the bottom left hand corner. Yeah, that person is standing on a boat or that sandbar, I have been over enough times, I get that same view every time. the other possibility is that it may be from Johnson's Island. They have basically the same view. But it's NOT Battery Park.
