Whyte lightning

I know cedar point is adding a new water ride called shoot the rapids but in addition to that i have heard talk about a new ride called whyte lightning. does anyone know anything about this?

Whyte Lighting was the teaser name used for StR before it was announced. There is only 1 ride being installed for next season.

I think they are going to use Whyte Lightning as part of the theme of the ride. Something along the lines of moonshiners and rum running.

They've already talked about the reference to moonshine in the webcast as well as in the blog hints, and the spelling WhYte because there is a full time CP employee whose last name is spelled Whyte instead of the more common White.

yea but there is something up on youtube talking about a new ride. it says lightning strikes twice. there is a vid up talking about it maybe being a boomerang coaster

How long has it been since a new Boomerang was put in!

The whole notion and meaning of lightning strikes twice, is for the fact that Shoot the Rapids was a previous water ride back before White Water Landing was built. So that is what the meaning of lightning strikes twice is all about. As for Whyte Lighting it is about the moonshine and referring to Paddlewheel boats and the old town it goes through.
