Why the later Opening date??

Just wondering why Cedar point isn't opening the 1st week-end in May like it has in the years past???

I'll give you the same answer I give to just about any question concerning Cedar Fair and starting with the word why:

BUDGET CUTS!

If you think about it, that term could be used to answer just about any question as to why Cedar Fair has done some of the things they have done the last couple of years.
