Another notch on the record belt.
Most red coasters on the planet! Ride on!
When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835
Maybe, just maybe they have this wand that they will pass over the pieces of track before they start assembling it and they will change colour. It's all part of a mystical plan to conceal the real identity of the ride for 2007. They added an extra $3 million to the project cost to fund this plan. That's why the supports are being handled so roughly. The wand will heal all imperfections when in the colour changing process.

So, basically it's unpatriotic to spell color colour?
Well my favorite kind of biscuits are Oreos. Ha! :P
I read this thing once where if you look at most fast food signs they have reds and oranges. It's proven that those colors make you feel hungrier....
So they only build red roller coasters so people will eat more overpriced food.
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
^^So in America, it must be proper to spell "you're" as "your." ;)
Always amazes me when someone corrects another, and makes mistakes in their (not there) post.
I only count one other red coaster at the park, and that's Dragster, which is a darker shade (before fading) than Project 2007. Magnum is orange, and so is Iron Dragon's.

colour. colourHey here in The Good Old USA we spell (colour), color. This is not a slam but if your going to post in an American website, spell the American way. Thank You.
I do not care if your from our best buddy (lmfao) from the North. It's our Fourth OF July and as all Americans should stand behind the color's of our flag.
Now back on topic, why red? cause thats what cedar point wanted for project 2007.
Now if anybody has an issue with me about correcting the spelling of (color) in an American website, then send me a message.
Probably the most ridiculous post I've seen on here. I'm not going to spell it the American way because I'm not American. I don't change my ways just because an arrogant asshole like yourself wants me too. Not once has anyone made a negative comment like you did. Many people poke fun at the u's I have in words and I enjoy it in a good nature fun way. I'm not getting mad just because I'm defending the way I spell a certain word, according my Canadian dictionary, but because you actually think I will spell it incorrectly because you think I should. Think before you speak, or post. It's people like you who give your country a negative image.

Probably because its more patriotic than other colors. Think about what area of the park the ride is in. If CP were throwing in the towel on the Frontier Town theme, they wouldn't have made Skyhawk's colors and logo to fit in. Red track fits into a frontier town theme a lot better than bright green or purple or orange or brown.
Ick. Imagine if it was brown.

What is so bad about red? All CP has that has red is TTD and ID.
You want Blue? MF, BS, Corkscrew..
or Brown, like MS, Gemini, CCMR..
and on and on..
so there is nothing wrong with red..

Well, I think MS, Gemini, and CCMR are naturally brown... But other than that, point well taken.

Don't get pissy because we've got a vowel shouratge here in the US, coasterfan. Be glad that our neighbours to the nourth have that vowel surplus or we'd be up **** creek without a paddle.
With everyone driving their SUVs and watching their CSIs and SVUs be glad you've even got two vowels to rub to gether to make an alphabet anymore.
You've succeeded in being a genuine dick, rather than the fun dicks many of us sarcastic people around here tend to be. You get today's Asshat Award for American Arrogance! Print it out, frame it, and post it on your wall. You've EARNED IT!
I'm agreeing with Chuck on the patriotic theme. I think the colors do give a sort of theme to the ride. Though that will really be put to the test when they announce the ride in August.
And I was also thinking that we could see a station similar to the Patriot if the coaster has an Americana theme to it. http://www.worldsoffun.com/_upload/photo%20galleries/patriot/patriot_031506_05.jpg

Hopefully they don't use that type of queue rail though... I hate that type of broken up queue rail... ;)
