Why not have an official response?

The one thing I would like to see here on the boards is a silver tag from Marketing or Park Ops posting here to help clear up things. I know there are issuses that people like us only notice and care about, it would be nice to see an official response directed to us just so we could know why they do the things they do. I'm not expecting anyone to come out and say we are building this, this, and that next year. I mean just to clear up issues on things we care about. We have threads about pop prices, the webcams, items in merchandise, procedures, problems with rides, park signage, and things we care about, it would be nice to see someone officially say something. Whats the big deal. I have been lurking around this site for a while and through this site I found Coasterbuzz, and I think its amazing that Paula from Holiday World posts there all of the time. She gives out great info and not the info that the park doesn't want the GP to know.

I am bet there are a ton of people who work at the park and read the boards daily. I am sure that some of them are just pounding their fists on their desks wishing they could post so they could set the record straight. Then again if there not pounding thier fists, they are crying from laughing at some of the things that are posted here, or in shock that someone out of the dark guessed what the park is building next year.

These sites are great for them to get views from frequent guests, but we are all (almost all) still part of the GP...just a GP with a little more knowledge than normal. We are the only ones that care about what they are waiting for.

Remember that we make up probably less than .01% of their total attendance, so why should we be entitled to any exclusive info before the rest of the GP and media?

Like I said I didn't wasn't asking about future plans, I just wanted to know why they do the things they do sometimes.

Yeah, or wishing to pound my face in for my remarks :^).

I'm sure they would love to respond, but the rule makers probably thought this could lead to bad things and decided against. One reason could be If a higher up answers one question or thought they could be expected to answer everything. At a park and a site the size of this it could get out of hand. I agree though I love Paula's post on CB and RRC and I think it's great they she can respond.

Also there are many people here who know of the reasons why they don't or do certain things. There is hardly ever an unanimous decision over any topic here and the debates get pretty well covered from both sides.

Oh, I make up nearly 0.000025% of yearly attendance! :)

There's a big difference between Cedar Point and Holiday World. If we all disappeared off the face of the earth, Cedar Point would still do just fine without us. Holiday World, on the other hand, has in many ways helped get its word out by communicating with enthusiasts and building rides that we like.

The only thing Cedar Point would miss is season pass sales and the occasional laugh from our "Area 51" threads.
