Me & a buddy were wondering.......why do people get a Joe Cool Club Membership? What are the benefits & is it worth the cost? & also just to be sure, when does the Season Pass Center Open next year to get our passes?

"For just $15, any Season or Combo Passholder 48" or taller can join and become eligible for special benefits all summer long! Perks include everything from special ride times to early entrance for a great live show and discounts on food and merchandise. If you're not already a member, you can join anytime during the summer by stopping in a the Season Pass Center at the Cedar Point Main Gate." That's exactly what the web site says. And I'd have to say it would be worth the cost considering the benefits and that's it's only 15 dollers extra.

"When does the Season Pass Center Open next year to get our passes?" I'm not exactly sure, but I think the season pass center opens early every year because I know this year it opened early before the park opened (can't remember when exactly). Everything can be done over the website now (that's how I got my pass). It's faster to do that instead of going to the season pass center, that is unless you live close to CP. Being a AAA member helps out to.

I wish I got it through AAA.... it's $80 through them. :( *** Edited 8/16/2004 6:23:52 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

In addition, if you get "Joe Cool" you then have the option of having your season parking pass on your Cedar Point season pass instead of a sticker on your car. This then enables you to take different vehicles instead of being limited to the one vehicle every time. It works out great for my buddies and I.

That's just about the only reason I get it.

Once in a great while I will use it to get into the park early.

Thanks for all your help, but about the special ride times, & you get in the park early, do you get in with resort guests? Thanks again...

Yes, you get in early if you stay at a resort too.

So what about food discounts? Is there a set place where you can get discounts or is it just a sporadic kind of thing?

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Cedar Point has a great website that lists all of the benefits that go along with Joe Cool. Why don't you check it out...HERE

The CP website lists many, but not all of the Joe Cool Club benefits.

In addition: If you show the card at the $1 & $2 Winner's Circle Game near the Gemini, you get twice as many balls to throw for prizes. I believe other games in the area have this deal as well.

Are there any other benefits that readers here know of?
