Why aren't you testing?!?!?

With only 3 weeks til opening day, it looks like Cedar Point hasn't even attempted to test Dragster, or at least that's what it looks like to me. I saw Corkscrew testing on the cleveland cam the other day, and I even saw some Sky Ride cars moving, but yet no Dragster. It even appears that the trains are still sitting in front of the station on Cedar Point's official webcam. If they don't want to have the same problems it did last year, they should start testing it way before 3 weeks to opening so they can get the kinks worked out. I'm a lil bit worried that I won't be able to ride on May 10th...
You know that big yellow ball you see through your window sometimes? It's called the "sun". You should probably go outside and experience it sometime.

Alternatively, last I heard the GM position at Cedar Point is as yet unfilled. Since you apparently know so much about running an amusement park, perhaps you should apply?

The only "kink" that Top Thrill Dragster ever had, was in one of it's cables. They finally got rid of it near the end of May 2003. :)

Eddy the retard is awesome.

OH NO, I guess the rumors were true that came from hershey engineers that said TTD's motor was getting replaced and that it might not open by opening day. When they went to CP to learn how to maintain the hydraulics for storm runner. UH OHH! :)

No seriously i hope they arent true, But we have PLENTY of time. I dont think there is anything to worry about. And oh yea, Just what brian said, Its very nice outside go enjoy the sun and the nice weather.

Well O Great one(MFisKing1008), please share with us what the testing agenda should be, and maybe you would want to fax that to CP because they obviously don't know when to start. ;)

2004 Stats coming........after May 8th

Brian, you don't have to be a GM to know that you should start testing the roller coasters now, all you need is something called common sense....
They said that they would run Dragster during the off-season for as long as it took to work out all the kinks. Obviously they have done that so it doesn't need to be tested any more than usual.

The Matrix Revolutions

Although i do think it should be tested more then blue streak and the sky ride, You are right about that CP_bound. It looks like they are working on it pretty heavily on weekdays. Im sure all those changes that they do to the ride will need to be tested out.

From working on TTD, to make the train get over the hill, the wheels have to be warm, and with the crazy ass weather that we have been having, they are unable to do that. The train will not make it over the top unless the weather is good out. You should know that. SO untill the weather stays warm for a few days, there is no sense in even starting to test it, and they do not need all the trains on to start testing, however it would be nice to get them on.

I dont know

I'm more concerned that they haven't started testing the Pagoda Gift Shop.

Common sense tells me that CP has been around for over one hundred years, they obviously know what they are doing.

And how do we know the grills in Charlie Brown's Cookout will be ready! That's the only place in the park to get a freshly grilled hamburger!
My guess is that testing in some forms may have started. I mean, they arent going to just place the trains on the track and start firing them off right away. They may be testing electronics, etc first, and who knows whats going on in the hydraulic building. They wont just flip a switch and run the ride instantly, there are things that need to be done from winter. This past weekend there have been numerous vehicles back and forth at TTD, the crane has been at the launch area frequently, and I have seen people on the tracks in the station this past week also. All I'm saying is just because you dont see any trains launched yet, dont assume they are behind and not testing. They may be testing things the webcam wont show, and if it hasnt started, it will be done in time for opening. I am not worried about it in the least.

HAHAHAHAH!

You know, amusement park merchandise *does* leave a lot to be desired. Maybe they should test it. :)

TheRealCP :)

No, wait, the other day I caught them testing the entrance lift gate to the Pagoda shop on the webcam. It went up and down in its series of tests that day, I do not know if testing was successful or not from what I could see. ;)

I heard Bill Spehn took the Dragster's keys with him when he left for GL, so they can't get the thing started until he returns them.
Last I heard, the Pagoda Gift Shop was sinking...
And being repainted red. Or maybe orange.
