New lights for rides need to be tested and the best time for tests are at night, fine. Maintenance dead lines must be met, so you will work late into the night, fine. Yet during the construction of the gatekeeper, max air was alight for most of the off season and I still wonder why? This off season I noticed some of the Johnny Rockets lights are on and this weekend the gatekeeper was fully lit. If a maintenance person for cedar point has been on this website, please tell me why unnecessary lights are left on wile nobody is home.
Do you rent or own a place of residence? Do you pay for pay for electricity usage? As long as consumption is paid, it doesn't matter what it's used on or when. Who cares what lights the park has on? Unless your a green preaching, tree hugging, carbon footprint caring hipster.. Nobody gives a flying coitus.
Indubitably . Thats How Business Works!
Modern LEDs tax the power grind little. I went all LEDs this year and it has made a noticable difference, for the better, to the bill. Perhaps CP also has LEDs, and as such, doesn't give a Flying Fornication what lights are left on!!!
With attractions SUCKING up power during the operating season.. A few lights on during the off season is NOTHING to mind.
I am self reliant, I worry for those who rely upon smart phones for information on how to save a life as well as saving thy own life. Be prepared. Unnecessary lights and the Valravn may see higher payments of cash out of our pockets next season. Turning off the lights this winter might save all of us some cash is the point of my topic. Bad fog again, be safe, good night my friends.
Cedar Point......CEDAR POINT!
What ma?!
You left the hallway light on again!
So?
So?! Do you pay the bills around here?!
Who cares.......
Who cares?! Your father and I care that's who!
Whatever.....
You better clean your act mister. Or you won't get that Rocky Mountain thingy you want soo bad. Oh, and clean up your room, there's seagull poop everywhere.

That's actually not entirely true. Depending on the location, residential vs. commercial, etc., rates can vary by time of day.

I could care less that the lights are left on, but honestly ive wondered the same thing. I see quite a few things lit up at night on the cameras as if the park was operating. Im not wondering because im worried about it, just because as a logical point of view, what is the point? Usually when im done in the bathroom I shut the light out because it doesnt serve a purpose anymore. However, it does give me something nice to look at on the cameras when its dark :)
