A couple notes:
Tony tweeted this morning that they released a few extra CoasterMania! tickets so you procrastinators have another shot at tickets.
As for the weather, a few days ago the long term forecast showed rain this entire coming week. The. It flipped to all sunshine. Now it's mostly nice with rain on Friday. The weather is so unpredictable, not just at Cedar Point. Here in Rochester we have a saying "If you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes. It will change."
ROUNDABOUND.
I should have stuck with my original intent of becoming a meteorologist. It doesn't seem to matter if you're wrong....You still keep your job.
With that said, I hope Friday's forecast is dead wrong.Coming in Thursday and leaving Saturday. Hope to catch some decent weather before, during, and after Coastermania.
Our entirw group will be there as usual Pregaming Thursday night at our cabin as always. Lots of Beer & BBQ Friday during the evening prior to ERT. Looking forward to it!
Just a couple girls & guys traveling the country visiting and reviewing every major park in N. America

Meteorologists actually tell you the odds that they are wrong.
Last year was my first CoasterMania! So to some of you more seasoned enthusiasts, has CM ever been a total washout?
ROUNDABOUND.
Having been to every CM starting in 1996,most of them have turned out great. Janice Lifke(let see who remembers that name),IIRC,started out the CM by announcing 'welcome to the worlds largest water rides',the day started out very wet and rainy. It wasn't storms, wind, and lightning, just rain. The CM crowd is not the public crowd(CP realizes that) and they know we will ride in the rain.

Since it is (or at least very near) a sell-out, anyone know how many tickets they limit it to? Hitting the road for Sandusky in about 28 hours.
Last year was capped at 1200 tickets. I never saw a number this year but probably around the same. Tony posted on Twitter a few days ago that they released an additional 30 tickets (didn't say why)...
We roll out to a Cedar Point in T minus 12hrs!
ROUNDABOUND.
So, wow, TTD was mostly a no-show for ERT. Down most of the two hours with numerous rollbacks and maintenance appearing to work repeatedly along the launch run (possibly on a brake fin). I estimate that there was somewhere between 7 and 15 successful launches during the ERT. We were able to enter the line about 11:45 although a rollback had just occurred. As best I remember it from here, they backed all the trains out and did some maintenance work, then they got two over before the third rolled back. This time no maintenance so they just backed up to get the failed train back to Transfer and went again. Got a little strange here when the Christmas Tree went dark and sound effects stopped; train just sat for awhile, nothing being said, then all of sudden without further warning, the brake fins retracted, a single "Arms Down" and instantly Y-Y-Y-G and it launched and was over. We then loaded the train in Load 2 and the next two launches (including us) went fine. And then we sat in Holding 2 (which I believe is the end of the descent block) even though Unload 1 and 2 were clear and while the next train was in Launch (I know with us there, it can't launch but still, I don't like sitting when we should be advancing). Finally after more block reset announcements, we advanced and the train in Launch (again with the Christmas Tree dark other than the final Y-Y-Y-G) launched. Then the last train was up and over and, it now being 12:45, they were done.
That's seven launches in the last 45 minutes but as it was DDM when we first got there at 10:30 and between then and 11:45, I saw (from a distance - i.e. at Maverick or Magnum) two rollbacks and no successful launches, I don't think there were too many other successful launches (if any)).
Actually, not a good Intamin day. Maverick was up and down - during the afternoon we entered right after a reopening and then had to wait out another DDM before getting to ride. And MF had a train stopped on the lift hill. We only saw it there for a few minutes but we heard it was over an hour.
And not to put it all on Intamin, I believe we were on Rougarou's last train of the night when it went DDM after our ride shortly before 10:00 (and this after being DDM during part of morning ERT).
OTOH, Gatekeeper and Valravn seemed to be operating perfectly. I'm not sure in what order but I put the two #2 and #3 behind MF on my CP favorite's list.
