Who Will Pay The Price For The Vertigo Disaster?

The last two towers of Vertigo are in the tideous process of being removed, which is a very good thing because the ride is structurely unsafe.

Big question here, who is going to pay the price, Cedar Point or S&S.

In my opinion, S&S should refund all of Cedar Point's money for the ride, the cost for the ride itself, cost for the erection of the ride, cost for the demolition of the ride, and finally the cost of repairing what the tower that already fell damaged.

I am very disappointed that everyones safety was compromised by S&S's poor engineering of this ride. Especially since I was one of the few that rode this ride. Both S&S and Cedar Point got very very lucky that no one was hurt.

If it were summertime, Cedar Point would have to close down that area of the park due to the immenant danger, that would mean closing down the Rip Cord, Go Karts, Magnum, Gemini, part of Soak City, and the road leading back to Hotel Breakers. What a mess that would have been!

If it had been summertime, the cracks would have been discovered during a daily inspection LONG before a tower collapsed. If it had been summertime, the structure could be disassembled (demolition? let's not get overdramatic, OK?) without closing down the surrounding areas -- just as easily as they erected the structure without closing those same areas.

At no time was there, nor would there have been "imminent danger".

And "disaster"???? Puh-lease!

What the hell do you know about engineering? You can't even spell "eminent" so I doubt you have slightest idea what went wrong with VertiGo, or what "poor engineering" even is.

Give it a rest.
