I have a question, who would be the next park in the future, whether its 1 year or 100 years from now that would surpass CP with the title of most coasters? Exclude the answer of "There will be no other park ever". Just think of the next best answer of which park would be a good candidate of this honor. It is bound to happen sometime.
I think CP will hold that title, its doing great right now, and has been for a number of years. CP should have no problem holding this title. *KNOCKS ON WOOD*

"Welcome back riders, DID YOU ENJOY YOUR FLIGHT?"
i think this is for Coasterbuzz....BUT since yiu asked, CP will hold that title as long as possible, simply because of the economics of it all...IOA spent HOW much on the Spider Man ride and CP could have gotten 10 MF's for that money. it would take MAJOR dollars for ANYONE to catch up to CP and they would have to stop counting racing coasters as TWO....ahhhhPKIchoooo....

Of course PKI already thinks that it has as many coasters as C.P. But the parks that are the closest right now are Kings Island and I believe Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Servo, SFGAm also does the same thing with the Eagle. They count it as 2. To the others answering CP to this topic, please think of another answer. Use your imagination.
If Kings Island counts the racer as two coaster then CP can count Gemini as ttwo coasters.

Jeff, since certain individuals are getting upset with this topic can you transfer it to Coasterbuzz? I personally didnt think it was a big deal.

I would say that any park that has alot of extra room, or one that could buy more land has the best chance in the future(30 years+). Soon CP will run out of room. Sure, CP still has the parking lot, hotels, campground, and Soak City that they could clear out and use, but once that is all used up to the limit then CP will have very few options. But hey, who knows what the future holds.

2nd Year
well i'd have to say mabye sfo (my co-homepark), if they expand into the parking lot. they are already to be rumored to get a s:ros in the coming years. i have also heard a roar or joker's jinx clone. maybe even a batman clone, even though they have two inverted already. they could also get more kiddie coasters. that would only leave a stand-up. i doubt that would happen, because six flags wouldn't keep shelling out coasters to sfo, especially after this year. btw, i think this is a cp place topic, because cp has had this record forever. the only way another park could beat cp is if they put many coasters in a few years straight and cp doesn't build any or tears one down. btw again, ki has THREE kiddie coasters.

SFMM. They have the land and the financial backing. I love how premier starts a park and lets it go for 3yrs w/ out new rides then adds a ton of new ones. W/ MM they have done it right. In esence it is a CP in the making (w/ the wrong owners!) Ouch! Anywayz... CP will be on top for a little while longer but I think the record will be eclipsed eventually.

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?" (as stated by my best-friends about CP)
I'd have to say a Six Flags Park will do it eventually. Think of how much money they sunk into the takeovers they made this year. Their revenues will only grow enabling them to put even more major rides in their parks. I'm not totally familiar with SF parks but there has to be a few that are pretty close to CP in total coaster number and all it would take is to put up new coasters at a faster rate than CP's one every other year to catch and pass them. Sadly, I don't think it's a record that CP will hold 10 or 15 years from now.
