Who remembers the dollphin show?

i remember always going to sit down in the stands and watch the dolphin show, seein the dolphins jump through hoops, play games, and play football was really entertaining. What ever happened to the dolphins? They added that everything touch to CP
I got this from another site. It says Cocoa and Striker died in August 1996. In 1997, the show continued with Misty and Breeze. During the winter of 1998, however, Misty died. Cedar Point then announced the closing of Oceana, with Breeze being sent to Florida for a much-deserved retirement.

There were also two sealions. A new one replaced Skipper in 1997. I'd put the name of the website, but I don't exactly understand the rules of spamming and such and I don't want to make Jeff and Walt mad.

Here's a video clip from Oceana.

Thanks for the video, Walt. Did I miss that here on the site somewhere or is that from the private Walt Vault?

It was part of the history section at Virtual Midway.

Walt,

Will all the old contect from Virtual Midway eventually make it over here? I like this new site, but I have to admit I preferred the seperation between the two sites. Not that I don't appreciate all the hard work you and Jeff put into these sites for little gratification from your users.

Not the history stuff - there are different plans for that.

Definitely the kids miss this show, but the diving show isn't too bad.

I miss the aquarium more than the dolphin show. It was kinda nice to walk through there and see all the fish, and then they had the giant windows into the pool where you could see the dolphins play. I've always liked zoos and aquariums so it was kinda nice to be able to wander through there. Now its an arcade (if I remember right) and not quite as much fun.

Walt,

Hurry up with that history section!!!!

Sorry, I know your'e busy, us oldtimers loved that part of your old site. I always thought that I dreamed there was an electric go cart ride until I saw it in your site.

There won't be a section, there will be an entire history site. It's coming, but not until the off-season. Site launch will probably be early next year at best, but it will be well worth the wait.
