Who Has Traveled The Farthest To Cedar Point

I'd like to find out who has traveled the farthest to get to Cedar Point & what their favorite ride was?

I'm from Cleveland, OH, so I don't have to travel far & my favorite ride is, for now, Millennium Force.

How about You?

There was a guy from a year or two back that came from the UK just to ride MF.

Well we aren't too far, but we drove from New Jersey three years ago and are going to do the same this year. When we went three years ago, it took about 9 hours because of BAD CONSTRUCTION on Route 80! I believe it should usually only take in the 7 hour range?

Two trips from Houston this past summer. All that gets fixed, however, come April.

Last year I came for Millie from Switzerland. did I win something now :)
Last summer my family and I came from Memphis, TN.

Not the farthest, but it sure was a long trip.

Also... I came for the whole park, not just 1 ride....but MF was the one I wanted to ride the most and I liked it the best.

MF basically made me go. I wouldn't go there if they would not have Mantis, Raptor, Maggie etc.

The distance I traveled for CP is exactly (almost) 3580 miles. Beat that :D

Came from Cookeville, TN. I usually make the trip every summer. Can't wait for my trip this year!

My Top 5 at CP: 1)Maggie 2)Millie 3)WT 4)Raptor 5)Mantis

Well, I live near Miami Florida and come on up there at least once a year but I know I won't beat people from overseas.
This is all pretty interesting, I see Gravity is also from Houston (I guess this isn't the place to rag on Astroworld), I always thought the Chief was from Ohio because of his frequent and knowledgeable posts!!
I am a Buckeye and will always be a Buckeye. I just happen to live in Florida now. Well, it is more like North Cuba without the good cigars.
this year i'll be coming from san diego, california just to work. maybe next year who knwo, paris....or africa.
A lot of people from westcoaster have been, and enjoyed it.

Gaa... no. I was born and raised in Metro Detroit. Only moved to Houston a little over a year ago, and I'm moving back to Michigan next week!

And, rag on Astroworld all you want... that place... ugh. The only thing I *really* enjoyed there was Mayan Mindbender, it was my very first coaster when it operated at BobLo as The Nightmare... riding it again after all these years was nice. But that park... ugh. I'm a spoiled CP Fanboy, throw me into arguably one of the worst SF parks, and I'm gonna get cranky.

During the summer I had to move to Lake Charles Louisiana. :-(

I used to live about 85 miles away and it took an hour and a half to drive to CP. Now I have to drive for three and a half or four hours (depending on which airport) because I don't live near a major airport. I was really spoiled by CP...now I am surrounded by SF parks. Jazzland(4hr drive) was okay but now it's a SF: New Orleans. And yes SF Astroworld does suck...I just don't like to begin my day at an amusement park by walking over a bridge across a highway from the parking lot to the park.

I flew back twice last year- once in summer and once for Halloweekends.

Even if it takes a 4 hour drive to the airport down here, a 3 hour flight, a 1 hour drive to CP from Cleveland Hopkins, and a whole lot of $$, I will make it to CP opening day!

Thank you... It's good to know I'm not the only one who was kinda like "Uhh... oookay..." about the whole layout. Standing in line for Serial Thriller and watching traffic crawl along the freeway was... uhm... interesting, as well.

Yea I think of Astroworld as the anti Cedar Point. Everything that CP does well Astrworld does poorly. I always stay at the Breakers so I don't know if CP gives you a ride from the far end of the parking lot with a tram. Astroworld used to do that, then they reserved one of their trains just to ferry people over to Waterworld so if you wanted to ride for fun you had to wait for the second train. It's my experience that when CP opens everything is open, that never happens at Astroworld. I've never seen more than one train on the Cylcone, etc.etc.etc. The other Six Flag parks in Texas are fairly good, Astroworld is definetly the black sheep of the family. As much as people from Ohio complain about SF Ohio it is much much better than Astroworld.
CP used to have a tram that serviced the whole parking lot.. They stopped using it in the mid 80's if I remember..

OTT can you fill in the date??

When the Air force moved me from Gemany to DC, I stopped at CP to ride the Iron Dragon.
