Who has been on CP's roller coaster simulator?

I remember seeing a coaster simulator with most of the CP coasters on it -- Raptor, Mantis, Blue Streak, etc.  I think this was in an arcade on the Midway.  I wondered why anyone would want to ride the simulator when the real things are on the outside.  Has anyone tried this simulator and how is it?
the simulators are pretty good.  I have done the Meanstreak.   People will use them espically children who want to ride the real ones but are too small or scared.
I've ridden it as recently as the un-official Dave & Busters GTTP get together.... and honestly.. I wasn't impressed..

That and I never knew Magnum's station was so bumpy.. Right Boo???

I was on it the same day Rob was at D&B's and was VERY unimpressed..It was way off and needed some recalibrating..none of the drops were timed right wit hthe motion of the simulator..Actually got me a little sick

Wheres the Electricity!

We have one at my local arcade (Galaxy) and I didn't think it was bad. I've heard that some of them were way off with the timings, and that some of them needed to be greased, taken care of better, ect., but I was quite impressed with the one I've been on. I've only ridden 4 or 5 times though...

I actually saw that game/ride for the first time last summer, at an arcade on the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland!

I rode this at the Stratosfear in Las Vegas.  It pretty much sucked, but I don't like simulators in general - not enough full tactile feedback to avoid nausea.

Yeah it is not too good, on a recent trip to D&B's I rode in it and ah, the timing is way off. I would like to know how you lean far left and up and down in the magnum station.  Haven't figured that one out.

This second hill is my favorite part of the ride. It is so Cool!

Well,Depending when the far left and up and down occurs, I was thinking. maybe it's to simulate getting in the vehicle.  I am now intrigued.  I'll have to go find one of these machines.

The only one I have been on was at Galaxy Arcade, it was pretty expensive (2.50?) and shook for no reason. The only purpose I could see it being at CP for is for kids, or a "preview" of the ride for scaredy-cats...
I refuse to touch it.

I rode one at a bowling alley arcade in Kansas City (INcredibowl). I liked it only for the fact of the on ride video. I liked reliving the ride. But I was unimpressed with the motions and everything. not anything like the real thing.
I am going to have to make sure I try it next time. Sounds fun even if its not the real thing.

I really like the thing they have at COSI in Columbus. POVs of several coasters are shown on a screen and the direction and speed can be controlled by turning a wheel. Great fun! No motion simulator but it's free (with COSI admission).
The Simulator at COSI Toledo is pretty cool its called the Zing 2000 or something to that nature.
Yeah.. it runs the Ice "coaster" that was featured in the Imax show Alien Adventure in 2000..

Speaking of Macomb Mall in Roseville, Michigan, inside the mall a resturant called "Charley's Steakery" displays part of the archives from "Cedar Point-on-Lake Erie" (cedarpointonlakeerie.com) in the dining room..
Heh, I was thinking of going in there and looking for that certain mural you're talking about, but there were some attractive girls there that would've thought I'm weird... ;)
