I can see where these passes would be good for families with kids on the spectrum, but I'm 30 and see no reason to start using these passes now. Although I do hate waiting in line and will get impatient or antsy, I can suck it up. One thing I really hate waiting in is traffic, especially when I'm the one driving.

Thabto, you and I are both fortunate enough to be high functioning. Not everyone your age or my age (older than dirt) is so fortunate. So I can these passes being useful for adults with autism too.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
Just be certain, the person with the piece of paper waiting to board a train up the exit ramp has a valid reason and is using a service (or perk) the park provides. They're not "cutting" to the front of the line.
I cannot wait until our girls are both old enough so that Parent Swap becomes a thing of the past, but we certainly utilize the system as much as possible when we are there. The real winner in the whole thing now is the almost-9 year old who gets to ride everything twice (once while waiting in line and once with the other one of us up the exit ramp).
In case you don't know, one parent waits while the other does something with the little one(s) while that parent rides. Then the next parent enters up the exit ramp and gets placed on a train. It's more or less the same process at every park I have ever been to (in or out of the Cedar Fair chain).
I see it as one small way the world says thank you for successfully reproducing.
The responses from people in the queue are as ripe as Cedar Point's Facebook comments. I get it, you think someone took "your" seat, so you feel it necessary to swear at me or my wife (and kid) or simply accost me with dirty looks in order to shame me. I choose to simply smile back and enjoy the ride.

After learning of the 'Plan Your Day Pass' for those with autism I get it for my son Alex. But I'll get it on the days that are either super busy or the sun is super hot on him.
It's rarely used, but nice to have when he wanted to try Millennium Force for the first time. In my experience I've explained to people where they've felt that we 'took their seat,' about my son's condition and they have been very understanding for the most part. Honestly, you make the situation weird by saying nothing and just sit in your seat and ignore the person. I'll usually thank them for waiting an extra train for us.
I think the pass is great. And the park has been great with letting Alex's older brother Jacob take him on the rides without my assistance.
I didn't say I ignore them, I smile at them. If we sit there for awhile, yes, I have mentioned what is going on if they simply look puzzled. No issue. But I have, on more than one occasion (once with my daughter beside me) been cursed at by a guest who was pretty irate. I don't think me giving a 25-second explanation of what the parent-swap process is going to do much good in that situation. That's not me making the situation weird, it's the emotionally-disturbed patron making the situation weird. It's those individuals I choose to ignore (which thankfully is not the majority by any stretch of the imagination).
Most people don't seem to really care that someone got boarded on the train. The one's that do care have a special place in my heart.

People are so self centered and angry. It shouldn't even take an ounce of intelligence on the part of the person in the queue to realize you are "taking their seat" with park permission and it really is none if their business. I don't know if it is the advent of social media that people think they have to be in everyone's business, but it shows a really small person who would make a scene over parent swap whether they understand it or not.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

You sure? I've taken advantage of that without having any paper or documentation. Was told just to go up the exit on Millennium or Maverick and tell them I had gotten stuck said ride. They were accommodating, no questions asked. This was a year or two ago, so policy may have changed.

I suspect that's part of it. People are becoming so used to expressing themselves online without any possibility of retribution that they're carrying that over into the "real" world.
Or maybe I'm just a grumpy old guy. Excuse me, I have to go yell at those kids to get off my lawn....

No, people have gotten crazy rude. Nose in everyone's business just looking for things to be offended by and yet they swear constantly which is interesting because I can remember when profanity was offensive.

I think the polocy has changed because I remember getting stuck on mean streak in roughly 2012 and they said to go to the exit maverick and dragster (millennium was down all day) and tell them I got stuck on MS. Then in 2014, I think it was, I was stuck on Shoot the Rapids and gave everyone in my party 5 front of the line passes. (As we were stuck for about an hour)

The handicap passes really saved me this past weekend. We had fast passes on Saturday but not for Sunday. I really didn't know about the handicap passes until I saw some people using them. It really was a blessing for me as I have a bad hip that makes it difficult stand for long periods of time. I felt bad walking to the front, I did get some dirty looks, but I waited just as long, just not in line. I'm so thankful that they have this service but I did see where it was being abused. When I got mine they just asked a few questions but really nothing to validate that I had a true problem.
I used all of my Ride Warriors Club Fast Lane passes this weekend. I didn't feel bad at all about it and dont recall any dirty looks from anyone.
I did get a question from someone waiting in the Valravn line about what I had. I just told them it was from the RWC and a club benefit.
