White Water Landing de-theming

This may be old news, but I noticed the entire rock tunnel of White Water Landing GONE this year. New landscaping has replaced the rock formations that used to house the waterfall that would drip on riders as they pass under. All that remains of this part of the ride is the mill that you pass through., which used to connect with the rock formation.

Does anyone know why this was taken down? I do remember them doing some work on it last year, but I had no idea they were dismantling it!

Yeah this was covered in one of the opening day threads. I think Red Garter Rob said that it collapsed and so they removed it and relandscaped the area. The "drip" is no longer on the ride which is too bad, but the ride is still the same.

Also, I've heard of kids getting out, hiding and scaring people in the tunnel.
I think it had lots of cracks in it and so it probably did collapse... good thing not during the season if it did!
I wish CP would bring back the tunnel. It was part of the ride's theming. Next year, I think they should build a new one and add a bunch more theming to the ride in other places, as well.
