Wheres the room?

I've looked at the construction pictures on cedarpoint.com and it does look like there's enough room for the ride itself but it doesnt look like theres much room for the queue line. I mean a thrill ride like that would have a pretty long line, wouldn't it? I mean look at how much space Power Tower's line takes up...more than the ride itself. So how do you think they'll fit it?

From what I see in the pictures, The ride itself will be farther out into the ocean midway than the kiddie bumper cars. With that in mind the queue line could go from where Kiddieland refreshments is all the way to the main midway. That's plenty of space. Once again I'm guessing!

I'm guessing they're going to wrap the queue around the other side of Sir Rub a dub tubs by the Krazy Kars and Troika. WT's queue takes up very minimal room and that holds over an hour of people. It's a good question though.

Speaking of Power Tower's monster queue, does that thing ever fill up anymore? I find it amusing that the walk through the queue is longer than the actual ride itself...

I've never seen it past the split point where you pick what side you want to go on.

The queue for Delerium at PKI isn't too space-consuming, but they still manage to have long-a** waits. I'm sure CP will have no problem squeezing it in somewhere. But they would be smart to build semi-temporary queues in addition to the permenant queues, so that, as is the case with PT and some of the other major rides, you're not left with an unnecessarily long queue that eats up valuable real estate. You could fit a ride like the Demon Drop in the queue area of Mean Streak and still have plenty of space for lines.

Huh, that might be cool.

Any similarity in name is purely coincidental.

If by "long ass waits" in the queue you mean half an hour to 45 minutes for a full queue... yeah. Delirium has long ass waits.

I couldnt wait 45 minutes for maXair, the longest line ive ever waited in was in 2003 for Millennium Force, & that was 1 1/4 hour...

It's my understanding that the ride its self is going to be much further back toward the DT building than what most people imagine. If that's the case, that leaves a ton of room for the queue.

Delirium has a surprisingly high cacpacity. It does not seem like it, but even when you wait through the full queue it only ends up being about 45 minutes. It seems like you are in the line longer, though. I do hope, though, that maybe cedar point can get a slightly higher capacity out of Maxair.

I'm sure they will figure out a nice spot to fit every thing it. 45 minutes seems reasonable, the longest I've waited was 3 hours for Millennium front seat.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

maXair has a capacity of 1,000 rph, while delirium's capacity is 600 rph. So the line for maXair should move even faster.

The Delirium we have is a slow operating ride. Not because of the operators themselves. The ride itself takes too long to bring up the loading floor up, and to unlock the restraints it takes a second. A cool thing with Delirium, is that we have a touch screen panal. It's pretty nice.

Dale, I want to see that 1,000 pph capacity before I believe it. Didn't TTD have a much higher expected capacity than what it actually does?

Well yeah I'm used to waits. I know it's stupid but I once waited 5 and a half hours to get on dragster. It broke down twice while waiting for it which tookl 5 hours and then the guy told us to get in line for the front seat and that took another half hour. That was way back in its first year on the black train when it still had the wheels and engine and crap in the last car. And it was my second time on the TTD.

I waited for Dragster for 6 hours on opening day when they had only 3 trains and two less seats than there are now. It was worth it at the time, but I wouldn't spend that much time waiting for it again.

I'm interested in what maXair's wait time will be in the morning. Since it is in the front of the park I bet it will suffer from early morning Raptor syndrome.

I think it is really going to be interesting to see what happens at maXair in the morning. Back in the day, a new ride just meant "another long line." But, now, with the capacity growing every year and attendance staying (more or less) the same, you can really see the effect of new rides on older ones.

From my understanding, isn't Power Tower two rides in one. So, therefore, it needs two queue lines. Now consider less space needed for MaxAir's queue.

I feel that for Cedar Point to come up with more room for a new and better ride they should remove Cedar Creek Mine Ride. I know that it would never happen, but I can't help, everytime I walk by it, wish that they could plop something so much better in that space. They could easily fit a sweet floorless or flying coaster there. Does anyone know how the attendance is on that ride? Low i'm guessing. Real low. Does anyone else have ideas as to what they would like to see instead of that dreadful Mine Ride?
And don't start commenting on the fact that it would never happen since I've pointed that out already. Thanks.
