What are you talking about? Are we talking about the same support? I don't see this support in the picture you have shown!

That support is alot bigger in diameter, it can go on the tower most likely

The piece that attaches to the track on the second support is the flat part of the "table". If you look closely at the back part of the table you can see that there are actually 2 circular pieces that will attach to the supports, just like on the picture. I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense, but that's the best I can do.

the poker table is prob going to support the top of the track.

The track will not be directly over the tower. The supports will put the track off the face of the tower. The walkway pieces will sit on top of the "table". This piece is not really sturdy enough to support the track.
