Where to sit?

Okay just a question for you guys and gals out there. Where do you perfer to sit on a coaster? The front or the back? I personally(if you care) Pefer the very fron on Raptor and Mantis... the view is incredible. And of course the back for Magnum. What you guys like?

anywhere i can, usually, but i do prefer the front of Raptor, legs held straight out in front the whole time(seems to give actual airtime), middle of MS, ejector seat on Magnum, front of Blue Streak, anywhere on Mantis.

Gee I guess I should start with Magnum:
Magnum
13-Left
63-Right
11-Left
Raptor
Back Right
Front Left
Mantis
Row Four when the trims are turned on during the first drop
Row 1 or 8 when the drop trims are off
Mean Streak
BACK SEAT!
Gemini
13, 63
WoodStock
back
Mine Ride
front seat of every train
Blue Streak
very back
Corkscrew
front seat: love the airtime :)

Raptor/Mantis: Front only. I'll wait the extra time. It's worth it.

Magnum: Front or back...for obvious reasons.

MF: I have to sit in the front for the view. But the back at 92 miles an hour, at a 80 degree drop, man. I better go to the bathroom first!

Any other coaster at CP: Back seat
The very last seat on all the coasters is my favorite.

Hehe Mine Ride front seat on every car.....because those are the only seats with any semblance of leg room eh?

Raptor: Front Seat - every time!!
Magnum: I require to sit in the front seat at least once, after that, I really don't care
Mean Streak: My chiropractor bills are getting too high, I have ceased riding it until they re-track it.
Mantis: Doesn't matter
Blue Streak: once in the front, and once in the very back.
Gemini: Front seat (I like the perception of almost smacking your head off of the steel supports at the bottom of the first hill!)
Mine Ride: Doesn't matter
DT: well, it's too dark to matter

Now, on MF, I will guarantee that my first ride will be in the front seat!! But judging from the description, it doesn't seem to matter since the seating in the cars will be like stadium seating.

The seating doesn't make that big of a difference (as S:ROS trains are about the same). The illusion of speed (aside from the G's and wind) can be helped greatly by objects moving past you in close proximity. That's where ROS fails... there's nothing around you. Riding front seat gives you the track flying by. MF will have tunnels, trees, and even the support structure itself up-close in the turns.

I pretty much always sit in the back.

Yeah when I worked on Mine Ride I got a guest complaint for lowering the bar too much (!!!) As if it was my fault, anyway. Hehe, we want ya to be strapped in there tight yanno...Mine Ride's pretty fierce. (hehe)

I never found Mine Ride's bars too tight. I fact I was joking with a friend last year that you could climb right out of them if you wanted to for some strange reason. Maybe it was just the car we were in.

Personally, I find Magnum's bars too tight for the male anatomy...nuff said.

That depends on who you are. If there are two 12-year old girls in the front seat of your car and they push that bar down, say goodbye to the Greek god Testicles (that's tes-tuh'kleez).

I have to agree with servo and Dave OBrien in general. I do prefer Raptor front or back, or front seat on any coaster. However, the majority of my rides are taken somewhere in the middle. This is especially true on days that aren’t very busy, as I hate to see seats go out empty. I even like the back seat on Mean Streak, though I can’t ride it all day like Raptor!

The front seats on the Raptor and Mantis are both great! But on rides that have smaller first hills I like the back more.

Well I usually get the front seat especially on rides like Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster :)

1) Maverick 2) Millennium Force 3) Top Thrill Dragster

^Only thing is, when the person started this thread. TTD wasn't even on paper yet. Why did we turn up this one from 1999?

2007:Corkscrew | Magnum XL-200 | Maverick

The scary thing is, someone else is going to dig this thread back up in like 2013. Everybody will laugh about how all of us back in 2006 didn't even know about Specter, and how Pioneer wasn't even built yet.

Mark my words.

The one that I absolutly have to have the front for is the Dragster. But I also like the front for Raptor and Mantis. The other ones really don't matter that much to me.
