Ok I know this is a really silly q but I'm wondering how to keep my cell phone safe throughout the day. We will be visiting Soak City in the morning and then Cedar Point in the evening so I really don't want to have to rent two lockers. I would leave it in my car but I'm worried about it breaking due to the high heat. I would put it in a cooler but I'm not sure that is a smart idea either. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!! (ps- I would prefer just to leave it at home but that is not an option).
I may be too trusting, but I just leave all my stuff wrapped in my towel, usually on a beach chair by the wave pool.
I keep mine in our beach bag under our chair at Bubbles where we always hang out.

I put my cell phone in a small zip lock bag to keep it dry.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I usually just leave it in the room at Breakers ;). If i did take it in, i would wear my shoes into SC, sandals in hand, and then take them off and put my cell phone in a sandwich bag and place it inside my shoe, then stuff my socks back in the shoe covering my phone. Not sure many people would dig in a shoe. I had towels taken from our chairs before, so just be careful with whatever you do.

I keep it in my car.
Seriously, why are people so scared to go somewhere without their phone? I survived going everywhere without a phone back in the day. Would it kill someone to spend a few hours in the water park without it?

Ok to clarify a few things...
I prefer to travel with my cell phone as I go to the park with my son alone and since we drive an hour it's for my safety. We were staying overnight at a non-cedar point hotel so my only option was to keep it in the car or bring it with me. Just having been back from Vegas my phone almost broke in the 105 degree heat. I kept receiving warnings to let it cool down before using it again. I didn't want to have to purchase 2 lockers, because who wants to spend that kind of money? :)
I ended up burying it in my bag and since the park wasn't super crowded, I just brought it with us to each section of the park we visited in and didn't leave it unattended for long.
I saw a ton of teenagers walking around Soak City very candidly with their phones so I guess me being paranoid helped me keep it somewhat secure lol
Thanks for all of the advice!!
ps- we had the best picnic lunch under a tree near the parking lot due to other advice I received on here :)
You could give it a coating of neverwet. Then your pocket is an ideal place at the waterpark.

You could hide it where Captain Koons hid Butch's gold watch. At least you would know where it is. :)
