Where is it better to stay? On or Off Point

I'll be going to cedar point in two weeks and I can't decide where to stay. I heard living on point is nice because you are right there. Is living off point nice? Is the drive bad? Are the dorms cleaner or I should say where are the cleanest dorms? I heard that all the dorms off point have an A/C, is that true? If I live on point I'll be bringing my own A/C. Any suggetions
