Where do you start when you get to CP?

I usually park in Soak City and walk fast to Maverick. This year everybody who is going for my birthday party said they would go on Ripcord with me so I'll be riding that about ten times at the start of the day!

Well when I went in 2007, I rode Raptor 1st....I remember in the mid 1990's prolly 94' or 95' when it was about 103 degrees and virtually no one was in the park.

All I can recall was my dad riding the merry-go-round an absurd amount of times and me spending all my time in the Bearstein Bears area.

It depends, when entering the main gate, we start at Raptor, then on to Blue Streak. Going in at the resort gate, Magnum, then TTD. Then so on after that.

Gemini and then Magnum. :)

^I'm usually opposite that. Then I make my way around Frontier Town. And of course I always enter through the Magnum gate.

Well being a park employee I just start where I left of the last day I rode rides. End the night with ttd everytime

I ALWAYS try to hit Dragster first. It opening later doesn't bother me(though most of you know that already). And I'd say out of the 21 times I went last year, I've been on the first and/or last train on 17 of those trips. Gotta keep my fan title.;)

Noob question: What is this soak city / magnum entrance I'm hearing about and how does one get to it or bypass the normal gate?

After passing the toll both, turn on your left signal as you approach the first traffic coordinator - he or she will direct you to the left, where you'll hit Permiter Rd. Hang a right on Perimeter Rd, and follow that all the way around the park until you reach the Soak City parking lot - you can't miss it. Walk through Challenge Park (just head for Magnum's first hill) and you'll find the entrance.

I'd sure hate to see it when a lot of people know about it because the few times that I've tried to get to Maverick for early entrance there has been a huge line extending out into the tunnel 'neath Magnum. Oh well, maybe it was just peak season when I'm remembering this.

Generally, I just go to the marina entrance and ride Millennium until it gets too crowded to wait for. It's just been tradition since I discovered that entrance.

Many times I love to start my day at the Raptor and move in, some days when I have the energy to run, I 'll start the dash to the Maverick. I don't mind either because I am looking forward to just getting back in the coasters!! It has been a long winter!

Most of the time when we go down we park up in front and walk our buts back to maverick. Im thinking this year we are going to play it better in just park in the soak city lot. We normally end in the back as well so i figure this year we will just park in soak city this way we can even hit soak city more this year. Platinum pass rules!
