Where are we at now?

I haven't seen more recent updates on height or parts, everything I have read is still unoffical, but i have my opinions, but its very incomplete so Im curious if anyone can add some input with facts or obsverations. I have read that it will be like Xcellerator, but personally it appears the towers on Xcel. are much further apart then what "dragster" offerson this tower. So I'm thinking this TH is going to be tighter then Xcellerator, unless this tower is much wider then it appears, but it appears the top of the tower is there, it doesnt appear by the apperance of the tower that this track will go up higher then what we see, so may I ask, what is the height of this tower now with this, what appears to be the top? The reason I ask last I heard this tower was breaking 200 feet, obviously it has grown, Im guessing its closer to 280-310 feet. Im still optomistic this ride is going to reach 400 feet like people were hoping, unless I don't have a sense of how tall this structure really is thorugh the webcam. Can't wait to see it in person while driving in on the causeway. Can anyone verify that any parts have arrived to verify it will be hydro. launched? Im just trying to search for some answers.
Much higher

Cedar Point WHAT!!!

It is at 400' (or higher) right now.

The tower is massive, much wider than Power Tower.

Launch speed will be around 115-120.

What about the revolving resturaunt at the top?
I think they may have scrapped that idea.

If you want a better sense of how tall this thing really is, check out virtualmidway, they have some new pics taken from the back of the parking lot and Battery Park witch give you a better sense of the height. Or you could just go out there and see it for yourself, like I plan to do this weekend.

Look at that first photo from December 7th at the virtualmidway site. note the relationship of the large crossover hill on MF to the catwalk levels. That hill on MF is not very far from #16's tower. Having said that, we have our proof that it is 400' tall +or- a few feet.
Yes I clearly see that its taller and it's size. aha I would take a ride to Cdear Point this weekend if I was able to pick up my annual pass while there. haha
Okay another question along this line.... Lets say this is 400 feet, are they going to add a flagpole to this to make it beat 415 which is reportedly the record height for a coaster, now my understanding these #1 and #2 coasters teh actually ride doesnt do as high as 400 feet, I think this ride will catch them on speed no problem, but what is the Guiness Book of World Records going to be looking at, or do you think Cedar Point is not trying to beat in height of overall structure just ride drop?
It's over 415ft. Why build a ride that is a few feet short of the record? It's the tallest now.

I think we are going to have our spot (however breif it may be) in the new Guiness book. That is, unless, Japan is building that 445' thing they were talking about. You know how secretive they are over there.
