Your probably on Netscape and need to reload the pages when you get there. I had the same problem with the web cam. For a week I thaught it was down until I reloaded that page and got the newest web cam pic.

I also had the same problem. I got online with compuserve. Then I went onto Internet Explorer and then it worked. I then got off IE and clicked the compuserve on the taskbar and then it worked. I don't know what was wrong with it, but who cares as long as I got to see the pictures.

I am having the smae problem as everyone else! AO(HEL)L!!! You gotta love it!
AHHH!!! Can't help you there. Don't use AOL. And I don't use them for these types of reasons. I would change ISP's.

Really, I kid you not, do it for the one reason and one reason only of the trains!

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY THE HECK DOES COMPUSERVE HAVE TO BE SO FRICKIN' DUMB AND NOT LET ME SEE THE TRAINS!? I HATE THIS!
Can't help you AOL folks, as AOL (and by extension, Compu$erve) caches pages. But for those of you who have fast connections or don't mind waiting a little...and use Netscape...I suggest that you find the option under "Cache" in your preferences where you can select to compare the cached page with the page on the network...
(*) every time,
( ) once per session, or
( ) never.

Select "every time." Pages you have already visited may load more slowly, but pages that change frequently such as Webcams will be more up-to-date.

Also, AOL uses it's own protocols, that could contribute to the problem.

Not likely. Where AOL uses its own protocols is in the connection between the AOL server and "you". The real problem is that AOL caches data, under the assumption that if many AOL users intend to look at a page, it reduces overall network traffic to just retain a copy of the data for a while. The problem, of course, is that this means the version on AOL isn't always the most up-to-date version available.

Whatever the problem. Still a reason that if I did use AOL I would change ISP's.

I connect through AOL, but use the IE as my navigator - no problems here! :)

Not to turn this into "AOL Place," but Vince is right. There are too many ISPs out there doing good jobs at better and better prices to be taking any crap off of anybody. I have many, many friends that are former AOL clients and very happy about it.

And by the way Seven -- I assumed you used an Interplexing Beacon. *** This post was edited by Tim on 1/12/00. ***
AT&T is outstanding for dial-up. I have been on their service for a year and a half now and have no big problems to speak of. My connection and download speed is great as well. If any of you are thinking of changing from AOL to a new ISP, I highly recommend AT&T. It's about the same price as AOL, but like I said it is soooo much better.
