Where are the end cars on Dragster?

While waiting in line, I noticed that there are no back cars on any of the coasters. You know, the ones with the big wheels and the engine? Why aren't they on? Is it because they add dead weight and the train has a lower chance of making it over?

wow, that stuff has been off for a LONG time.....

why was it taken off? No one knows.

and they werent the "back cars" they were just stuff that was screwed (so to speak) onto those black blocks on the back of the trains and the back of the last car, they have added 2 seats in its place since the theming has been removed.

Hey screammachine kid the scenery has been off since june.

My guess of why they took the scenery off of the ride is that ttd had too many rollbacks, so i couldn't imagine if the tires and spoilers were on the ride how many rollbscks there would be because of the extra weight.

I thought the end cars were sitting in the bottom of Lake Erie next to Millennium Force's green train?? That Lemon Chill guy lied to me again!!

Um, I'd like to point out that big, rubber tires flying from the train may have had something to do with the removing of the theming. That "incident" was first reported here by yours truely :)

actually they took it off cause they aren't a theme park and well if a coaster has a theme it has to be in a theme park, not an amusement park. Also one of the tires went flat, so they had to romove ALL the theme from the back end from all 8 trains! ;)

Well I would like to point out that SEVERAL rides at Cedar Point have some degree of themeing (SP). Even though they are not a theme park some of the rides ARE indeed themed one way or another.

TTD - of course drag racing

Snake River Falls - Looks like a Saw Mill from the 1800's

White Water Landing has a "logging" theme with Canoes

Mine Ride - well duhh you go thru a make shift mine storage area. Trains look like mine cars

Disaster Transport - obvious

Magnum XL200 - trains look like shuttles, and all advertisement was geared to the coaster flying down to earth.

Matterhorn - Alpine/Snow theme

There are more I am sure, but that is off the top of my head.
Cedar Point has PLEANTY of "themed" rides. Or else they should call the coasters what they are. Instead of Millennium Force then it should be "Giga-Coaster" or "310ft Fast A** Coaster". Instead of Raptor it should be Green Coaster with inverted track that flips you upside down a lot. They give them clever names and sorta run with it and keep a "theme" to the ride. At least that is my opinion.
