When will we find out what the new 2002 ride is?

I am just curious.I dont post alot on here,but believe me ,I do read alot.I just dont recall seeing anything about what the new ride or rides will be.well I dont expect any real great answers but something would be very nice.thanks alot.

Yes. . .i too would like to know, because im starting to think that we aren't going to get a new ride next year, lol. i know thats probably not the case, but i was just curious on when the announcement was going to be, because it seems as though they are holding off for something. i don't want to know what the ride is, i just would like to know the estimated time of the announcement.

I think I read something about an October annoucement, but can't say for sure.

They used to announce during the season, I know at least in the early to mid 90's they did.  We always go late June and I know that at least a few times they announced a few weeks after we got back.  Lately its been in the fall probably for a couple of reasons.  The decision may at least in part depend on proceeds from the previous year.  Also, now that CFair has so many parks the planning must get more complicated.

I heard October mainly due the fact that attendance is dragging.  I mean why would you go in October when you could wait til next year for some other fantastic ride ????

I read in an article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer than an announcement should be made sometime in October.

It is in october, and believe me, you will enjoy it.

Those are given woodie names. Funny..."Bombshell" by Powerman 5000 on my mp3 player just started when I read that post...gets me in the mood for an announcement. :)

Heck, we know that Cedar Point reads these boards, and I won't start a thread about a rumor, but I personally like Ballistic. Sounds like an insane ride name. Not to mention there is already Twister at Knoebel's.
