When to go????

I know that with the debut of TTD crowds will be completely unpredictable, but I had a question. I have the chance to visit for 2 days in eithor the very beginning of July, or mid-end of August. I was thinking July would be less crowded because its the beginning of the summer......but then again I was thinking that maybe mid-end August because many schools have already started by that time. Thanks again...and any help from anyone that has any ideas would be great! Thanks :)

The end of August is an excellent time to go. Look on the schedule and try to go the very last week they are open weekdays. I went during this week last year and the longest line was 15 minutes for Millenium Force, everything else was a walk-on.

Beware...that's THE last week in August, not the second to last week. The second to last week is one of the busiest times because everyone wants to get one last trip in before school starts, and it's packed!

Yeah, I wasn't sure what to think about August........eithor people would start school or it would be extremely crowded. I dont know if I'll be able to go the last week of August becasue of school.......anyone know what the lines are like the first week of June?? Thanks again! :)

First week of June aren't bad at all, especially during the week. Beginning of July is a little more crowded, but again if you go during the week, it's not that bad.

Kool :) I plan on going like a Wednesday/Thursday (getting the 2-day pass). So I assume the lines for rides like MF were reasonable around the first weekdays of July? Thanks!

I like to go to Cedar Point in the late evening. Oh, occasionally the early evening, but usually the late evening - or the mid-evening.

Just the early evening, mid-evening or late evening.

Occasionally early afternoon, early mid-afternoon, or perhaps the late mid-afternoon.

Oh, sometimes the early-mid-late-early morning.

But never at dusk.

In may when everyone is still in school or in october when everyone goes back in school there is alot of walk ons there also..

If your aim of the trip is to minimise the wait at TTD, then use your one freeway pass for the day to get a ride with minimum wait! Last year, we gave out stamps from 10.45am, and the milllenium always had a line at the kiosk (it was a trip - people waiting for 30+mins to have a shorter wait in the afternoon, when if they rode the ride then, they wouldnt have had to wiat much longer than 30 mins- they used to form a line way before the kiosk opened), Millenium stamps never lasted after 12! TTD will prob be the same this year.

July nearly always has the longest lines. I would never go in that month.

I've found the best times are the 1st weekdays the park is open in May, or Sunday's during October. Why go during July and wait 1-2 hours for everything, when you could go early may/late october and wait very little if at all.

It should be deserted. Mid-week in May tends to be great. Especially if it's really cold. If it's great weather you might some lines.

I find even then it's still a crap shoot. I've been there on days where it's empty around then, and I've been there when it's been packed(although that was on the weekend)

How about the 23 of May?

I would go during those times, however I live 6.5 hrs away and cant miss school for CP (although I would like to!).......so I've heard both things....better in July or better in like August(1st/2nd/3rd week of August)??
