I know that whan I'm going to CP for the first time(next Sat + Sun), the park closes at Midnight and 11 pm, respectively. What I want to know is if the lines close earlier than that. I want to get in my first MF ride last thing Sat. night. I've been to other parks where the lines close earlier in the park. If they do close earlier, when do you think the MF queue will close?
You CAN enter the queue as long as you're there before the park closes. CP doesn't close lines early. Just make sure you aren't late, a minute late could be too late, depending on the worker sitting there.
Yep, I remember one time my buds and I rode Magnum on a night where it closed at midnight. We got in line at about two minutes to midnight. Enjoy! CP is awesome at night. Take advantage of it because the lines die down, except MF.
There were a few times that the lines closed early a couple of years ago. They did it on Raptor and Mantis and Magnum because the crews were really light and everyone was working so many hours -- it isn't nice to have a 3 hour line at close when you've been there since 9am! But I don't believe they would even try that until late August.
That is one thing I have always loved about CP - that they don't close the lines like that. Lots of people that ask me about it (I'm in FL - Not too many people down here know about it) and they are always surprised!

Sometimes if the crowd is light, they will close Mean Streak, Mine Ride, Gemini, Jr Gemini, Woodstock, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, and Blue Streak 10-15 mins early.
Hmmmm, that explains why I always ride Mean Streak or Disaster Transport about ten times fifteen minutes before closing (up until closing time).
Honestly when have they done this?

Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!
The only time in my working there that they ever closed Disaster Transport early was when there had been rain and the ride would not open for the rest of the night anyway -- not because the lines were small. I remember running shuttles empty because there was no one there, or we were waiting for the few that were to run around the building to get back in line! The back of the park might close up a few minutes early, probably because they know no one is coming back that way.

On the average night most of the rides close right at the time the park closes. Raptor and MF stay open about 8 minutes later.

Thanks everyone! Thats cool that they dont close the lines early. Heres another question...Are the lines usually really long at these times? Because I want to get my last MF ride last thing Sun. night and I want to know when I should be picked up.
Sunday night at 10PM you will have to wait about 45 minutes to an hour, assuming they're running all three trains (which they probably will).
Hope this helps!
