Wheels

Question, Why does it say in the line that dragster has 60 wheels when in fact it has 72 I find that interesting.

i was wondering the same thing, while waiting in line I read the sight and it said 60. So just to be sure I counted them. My total came to 72. COUNT FOR YOURSELF... http://www.topthrilldragster.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/ttd/photo/train.cfm

MF - 6
TTD - 2
WT - 10

It had 60 when the signs were made (the middle car was off, that makes 1 less trailor meaning 12 less wheels)
but you would think that since they knew that they were gonna be putting on the last car that they would have made the sign for 72 so that they would not have to remake the sign. well at least that would be the smart thing to do.

That reasoning doesn't make any sense as there is another sign that talks about Dragster carrying 16 people at a time...not the 12 it did before the last car was added.

It makes perfect sense if they remembered that there was an extra car but forgot about the additional wheels, its a simple mistake anyone could have made.
Nah, i'm not buying that one bit, you just don't "forget" about adding the extra car.
They had a spelling mistake on the sign at the Season Pass Center. Although, I can't see them **forgetting** something like the number of cars on a train.

There was also a mispelling in the Millennium Force Station it had 2 froms. Like "from from" in a row, The next week I went it was gone and you could tell there was a big patch over it with the correct writing.

2003 Statistics
Top Thrill Dragster: 4
Millennium Force: 14
Trips to the point: 10

Simple...they counted the cars (5), remembered that there is only one axle per car because the train is trailered, and multiplied by the number of wheels per axle (12) to get 60. Whoever did the sign forgot that the train has a lead axle with 12 more wheels on it.

They made the same mistake with the Millennium Force statistics on the web site a couple of years ago.
