Wheelchair and Handicapped Question

First let me start off this topic by saying that i have searched through old posts, but there are a few questions which i have that remain unanswered. I know that you can rent a wheelchair for 10 dollars at CP, and that after you go to Park Ops and get a rider safety guide with a special access thing that allows you to walk up the exit (after waiting of course out of the line). The one question that remains unanswered is what are the restrictions for getting that special access? I have a torn ligament in my left ankle and am not supposed to walk on it at all. I was wondering if i had to bring up a doctor's note or something of that sort in order to receive the special acess thing. MY family is going up to the point next week, so any knowledge of this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Restrictions for each ride are listed in the rider safety guide. The guide describes for each ride what you must be able to do physically before you can ride.

If you call Cedar Point, they will mail you a copy of the guide in advance. You can also ask if a doctor's note is necessary.

i am in a wheelchair and when i went i was able to stand long enough to transfer myself to the rollercoaster they'll ask u if you can brace yourself hold yourself up and they will put a hand up and tell u to push on it from there they will tell u what u can and cant ride i wasnt able to ride cedar downs mantis and somthing else i dont remember right off hand but i was able to ride all the rest of the rides and had a great time i think since u was told you arent supposed to stand u will be able to get the pass which sucks kinda cuz you have to go to the ride ops and they give u a time to come back and than u ride it may be a 2 hour wait but it also says on the pass that not to sign up for 2 rides at the same time unless u can ride that ride and make it back to the time givin to you raptor has a elevator u will be able to take that up and ride its on the back side of the building i do so believe Millie has a ramp so thats all good gemini i dont think has a ramp or elevator its got steps so i dont think u can ride that meanstreak i think has a ramp also corkscrew has steps so u may not be able to ride that either the skyride has steps to

Hi, I was recently at CP on crutches, to answer your question, a doctor's note shouldn't be necessary. The first day I was there they asked me why I was using the crutches, and if I could bend my knee. The second day I was there, they didn't even ask why I was using the crutches, just asked if I could bend my knee. Also - you said you're bringing your family, the pass is only good for you and 3 other people. If you're on crutches and your arms get tired easily, definitely get a wheelchair! I survived two days without one, but my arms were sore for days after! Good luck and have fun!
Thanks alot for the help to all who have replied. I e-mailed Cedar Point the same day that I posted this topic, and within an hour I received a reply, and today I received the Rider Safety Guide. Kudos to the Park Ops for answering my questions so swiftly. Hopefully my trip next week will go just as well.
