Just got here last night...walked past the engine room to TTD and the garage door was open with two mechanics working on it...Heard it had been closed for a while and will be all of today. Does any one know anything?
Saw on the webcam at 10AM that all six trains were still on the transfer track. Hopefully that gives people a clue not to stand there all day. :)

I was there yesterday and we rode it twice during the day. Not sure if it was running at night or not but I know Gatekeeper wasnt running at 9:00
TTD was running for most of the day Friday, but then went down in the late afternoon and did not re-open the rest of the evening. (The trains were transferred onto the transfer tracks well before the park closed, which signaled an expectation that the problem wouldn't be rectified for some time.)
On Saturday, the ride was closed for the first half of the day (more or less), with the trains still sitting on the transfer tracks. By mid-afternoon, the trains were transferred onto the track, and testing began. I believe it opened shortly thereafter, though some rain came through for a few hours that kept the ride closed off and on.
Saturday evening, however, the ride went down for another hour or two, with mechanics working on what looked to be a brake fin along the launch track. I finally got my ride in when it came back online around 11pm.
Not sure what the issue was, but some people on TPR posted a photo of mechanics working on the hydraulic motor, as coasteraj described.
Thrills Around the Corner!
This isn't so surprising -- for the first two years it was open it was like this every other day....its been running great in comparison lately....
If the door was open, I'm willing to be they were replacing one or more of the hydraulic motors.

Isn't it possible they were just performing service, rather than actually replacing one of the motors?
Delivering the best since 1870.
Looks open on the webcam from what I can tell. Only one train on the transfer track, and a bunch of people in the line.
And just saw it go on the live cam...

I've only ever known them to have the doors open for replacing motors. In reality, though, it could be for anything that is required to be lifted out. My point is that I don't think they'd have the doors open for a simple maintenance check. And motors don't take a very long time to change out but require the door to be open so they can get a forklift in.
See these pictures as example of when a motor was replaced.
