What's the Trench for??

As we all have seen on the webcam, a trench as been dug from the construction site towards the beach. What could this be for??

It's very obvious that the lagoon system is changing in some way, shape, or form. There's a pump in the lagoon right behind the ID station that I beleive is used to regulate water levels. With all the dams and sections being filled in, it's possible that this old pump system will become inadequate. It's possible that the water depth under Mantis is far less than the rest of the lagoon, therefore leaving the section used by PWE undrainable without the use of the pumps we in use today. Could this utility line be a new fill/drain line for the "new" lagoon, essentially connecting it to the lake. Some evidence to this. I noticed that there was a backhoe on the far end of the beach near the Bon Aire section of the Breakers, or roughly at the end of this trench. Just a thought.

Well, this had been talked about before but I will respond. That trench leads directly towards the Breakers Tower. My best guess is that when the Tower was build they put a new transformer near there. The trench probably supplies power to the new ride by way of this transformer (as many others have also speculated).

I don't think that the trench leads to the tower. The webcam is on the tower. If the trench was heading there, it wouldn't be way off to the side like it is. If it is truly a water line to the lake for the lagoons, I would think that they'd run this through the parking lot right behind the mini golf. I guess we'll find out this weekend.

im going this saturday with my state-of-the-art-one-of-a kind-u-ant-get-this-anywhere-else digital camera. it only holds 10 pictures. thats why i say u cant get it cuz its cheaper than a cereal box toy. ill try to take 10 good pictures that show a broad view and upclose things that are being wondered about
I think they just closed the trench with black top, so it can't be for more footers.

Best greetings from Berlin, Germany

The trench continues in the grass along the tower and the sidewalk is cut to the beach. There are utility location marks on the beach and a large stack of 5" PVC conduit on the beach. It appears that this trench will run down the beach and tie into the high voltage power line that was installed for the Wicked Twister. Cables will be extended from the Wicked Twister power source via the new conduit to power the new ride.

I was about to say... the trench does go to the end of the Bon Aire wing, and there are cuts and paint across the sidewalk. There sure is a lot of PVC pipe out there as well.
