Whats that cage lookin thingy?

On the webcam right now (2:23 PM) there are some cranes up, and there is a metal cage lookin thing sittin in front of the tower closest to the cam. What is this thing for? It looks like the crane is hookin up to it....

Probably a cover for that section of queue... that way there is something between guests and the train. I'm guessing they wouldn't want somebody to hop over the rail and be hit with a speeding roller coaster train... just my thoughts though :)

Good point besides we all know how DUMB people can be sometimes.

Yeah, there are people in the world stupid enough to deliberately jump over a rail into the path of a speeding coaster train and then try to sue the park for neglegance or something like that. (sorry about the spelling mistake.)

People getting in the way is hardly something to worry about. Someone's shoe coming off from the horizontal section would launch at the queue at roughly 70 mph. Not my idea of a good time.

Yeah, it'll turn into a gum-tunnel. Before you walk into it on a hot summer day, you smell the sickening sweet aroma of previously-chewed gum. Folks will talk about this for miles around. "Ya'll been up to that thar Cedar Point to see that neat-o burrito Gum Tunnel?" spoken with a major southern drawl Okay.. okay.. I'm leaving now.. no need to call the authorities. :)

Better place another order for Gum Freeze. I'd hope they figured it's a possible gum wall and place the queue just far enough away from the support.

Well at least that cage is not going to be like the ones at PKI where they keep the little kids too short to ride.

In retrospect it is kind of cruel to be doing that.

Yeah, I can see a shoe flying off and hitting someone in line. That would be bad, lol, but funny, unless it happened to you.

That would be kinda cool though if a shoe did fall off... it'd be intersting to see if it would keep spiraling until it hit the ground, or what.

If you look at the web cam, it looks like the "cage thingee"/Steve/whatever is pretty much finished. They have a lot of fencing up too, so the whole cement pad they put down is now like a giant cage. Check it out!
