What's on the midway?

I rarely ever look at the webcams, but I took a quick look at the webcams and there are tables lining down the Main Midway.

Any idea what's going on in the middle of the week right now.

This must be the night for the annual trick-or-treat night at the park. Elementary school kids in Sandusky get to attend.

I think i read somewhere last year that it was for local elemntary kids for a trick or treat kind of thing .... even though holloween isnt till next week..i might be wrong though

Thats very cool. I think CP has some of the coolest ideas.

Um good idea, but Disney and many others came up with it first...

The event is sponsored by the Sandusky Recreation Department, along with Cedar Point and local businesses and organizations. Several trick-or-treat stations are set up on the midway for a few thousand elementary students from Sandusky public and parochial schools.

Cedar Point plays host, but it is the city of Sandusky who puts it on (limited only to kids who live in the city).

How nice! I think that it is great that CP does that, good for them! CP does a lot for the community and a lot of people don't know that! If it weren't for PB or being an alumni of CP, I would have never guessed CP would do stuff like this.

Is there a possibility that CP does this kind of thing for other reason than "nice"?

Maybe it's just me thinking from a business/money point-of-view.

Call me negative, but very few companies do anything for the sole reason of being "nice". There is always the hope that the "nice" action will cause a positive financial response.

Not to say that the action wasn't a good one, but the business clearly hopes for a reaction. And I think thats a good business move.

The kids in sandusky get everything. They get the after labor day school start and their own halloween IN the cedar point midway. The town I live in never does anything like that. The sandusky school kids are lucky.......

Lets remember, that they do still live in Sandusky, so I'm not sure how much luck they actually have. ;)

...And who cares when school starts. You're still going 180 days (at least in Ohio) no matter when your first day is.

This occures every year on the last wednesday of the closing season,I think its a great idea,whomever came up with the idea.Im sure the school kids have a blast to
