what's it like to be at the point on a saturday?

I was just wondering this, as I check the cleveland cam and see the midways jam packed with ppl and you can't even see the pavement!! Has anyone ever gone on a holiday weekend especially?

I have been there for one of those 50k+ crowds on HalloWeekends and while they are crazy they are still very fun because the place is so alive. Now when it's 95 out with heavy crowds that could make things hellish.

101 on Magnum and counting...

^ Agreed. The midways always seem to have the same amount of crowds walking down them, not matter the day. The lines however are what seem to change based on the day and crowds. Even on an unbelievably crazy Halloweekend Saturday, CP is still quite fun.

I'm sorry I forgot to say mainly holiday weekends, cuz I have been there on a halloweekends saturday in 2006 an it was so crowded me and my sister couldn't move even from DT to space spiral in the midway! the wait for DT was 1 hour, not including the haunted house. it was just the regular line!

Isnt July 4th one of the least packed days of the year? I heard it from my friend who went last year.

Let's Get Weird.

Yes it is not very crowded on the actual day of the holiday, as I was there last year and it was nice, the lines were barely over an hour at the most. My uncle tells me it is very packed, which only led to me goin there to simply find out.

In all the years i've been a CP fanboy, I've gone to Cedar Point ONE time on a Saturday.. and that was for Maverick's Opening Day.

Other then that, if you know anything of CP, you know NOT to go on a Saturday if you want to rides coasters.

But, if you like Saturday's.. I guess thats just your cup of tea.

Um and from my 10+ years of roaming the park (4 years with a season pass) -- the Saturday after the 4th of July holiday is virtually guaranteed to be hellish if you want to ride coasters.

How about the friday after july 4th?? how's that for crowds for anyone who went on a day like that?
