Yea, check out the pics of Xcelerator on Twisted Rails, that track without the cross-pieces is used on both the launch and brake run sides.

I went and looked at the pics of Xcelerator and I don't think the tracks match. Why haven't they started construction on the launch house?
That's launch track alright... the slot in the middle is for the sled that will catapult the train to top speed.

I thought the wink face made it plain to see that I was being sarcastic. BTW, I did see that marking on the track when I was there last night.

Jes, if like you said in the other topic, that the launch pieces are Labeled T-1 Through T-14 Why is this one labeled T-47/97? I'm thinking two launches?
Looks like T-11 to me....

Some people make weird lookin "1s"

The face of a child can say it all....especially the mouth part of the face.

Yea, at first sight, it does appear to say 47, but upon further inspection last night, I can say without a doubt, 11 is written.

Yeah I think that is T-11.
If that is launch track, I think it is going to be a different type than Xcelerators. There are no brake fins in the track that come up in the instance of a mis/underfire. It doesn't look like there are places in the track for the brake fins either. I could be wrong though.

Folks,

That is the main part of Chaos. Notice the hydrolic cylindars that tilt the main axis after the entire axis has been lifted? The yellow portion at the bottom that appears to be Intamin looking is usually below ground.

They are talking about the other link in the thread...I looked over in the parking lot yesterday and thought that's what I saw. I think it can we can finally say with certainty that the launch will we alternating colors.

One thing I noticed is that there seems to be a lot of those kicker wheel assemblies in the parking lot. Perhaps instead of using brake fins in the event of a rollback, they'll just use the wheels to make sure it gets over and prevent rollbacks.

Or the wheels will be used to bring the train back into position for a relaunch.
Where would they put the kicker wheels on the launch? The sled would be in the way. The dozens of kicker wheels are for the extremely long brake run and the turn into the station, to ensure that the train will get there.
